i wanted to ask, who here reads VEGAN VOICE ????

I haven't read Vegan Voice in a while (I always get upset at some of the things.... but that's not why I haven't read it).

what exactly made you upset kurm? certain articles about animal abuse?

i think it's a fantastic magazine and we aussies (and nz'ers) are so lucky to have it. we need to keep supporting them so they can continue to put it out.
i get it sent all the way here to europe cause i love reading it. it's so much fun when it arrives in the mail every three months, feels like i'm getting a present, i get so excited :vebo:

anyway, thought i'd mention it incase other aussie here hadn't heard of it .....

Yeah, certain articles/pictures. I do think it's a great publication, though, and I miss it.... so I'll be re-subscribing sometime soon.

It's in Queensland now? I wear multiple layers of clothing in the Summer.... I won't fit in up there at all.

Maybe I'll catch a bus up..... the XPT sucks. I've always used it at night and while everyone sleeps I sit there wide-awake going crazy, wanting to yell and wake them all up (why should I suffer alone?). One time we hit a 'Roo and sat there for an hour..... but it got to Melbourne EARLY. They must have really pushed it.

These public holidays always sneak up on me..... I didn't know there was one on Monday until yesterday. Why have it Monday? I have an online tutorial in the morning and the whole arvo free; Tuesday would have been a lot better for me.
And it's not even the Queen's real birthday. And doesn't WA have it on another day?

Comparing our holidays to the US, we don't celebrate ourselves as much as they celebrate themselves.

Kurm, I had NO idea it was a public holiday, it doesn't affect me anyway. But I agree, we should have more Australian holidays... like Ned Kelly day or summin... :D

Don't they see that the economy pales in comparison with a liveable country? Don't they see that an unhealthy country results in an unhealthy workforce further reducing productivity?

Hehe, Howard is Dubya's little Deputy Sheriff.

I just heard he plans to allow the States to change the (public) school hours to make them more flexible than the 9 to 3 standard, since many families are different from the 2 parents 1 income family that was the majority when those hours were set.

I don't have kids so I thought "I don't give a toss"..... but then I realised those 40 km/h speed limits around schools during school start/end hours will be extended.

Feeling a little lonely up here in the north....:(

looks like majority are from nsw so i suppose nsw is the fairer decision.
