I'm not sure if it"s still there but they used to sell some in the faubourg, at one of those outdoor stands near the candy store.
I'm blanking on if indigo cafe sells those kind. wish I could be more helpful :)

-I was going to suggest the Faubourg also.

:sign: lol im a Concordite or whatever you call a Concordia student ;)
hey perfect school for the activist population isnt it? not that i fancy myself much of an activist I actually hide from much of the activism on school by hermitizing myself on the loyola campus or in my beloved Java U :lick:
Say
you know we should have have a Montreal VB meeting even if theres only 3 or 4 of us it could be cool :)
I work there actually.
... me too, actually. Where do YOU work??
*eyes the room suspiciously*
It's s great school for social awareness!
I am also frequently to be found in the Java U's there...
Up until this afternoon (when I resigned) I worked in the Anthropology Lab... where I will still sub from time to time, and can be found frequently...
JavaPrincess-- I spent all of last year on the Loyola campus, as I added a music major to my roster.. And I'm going there tonight for a music class even.
Creepy.
Concordians- what programs are you in?
*Mikie, I send you love*

Avalon, Music and Anthropology, wow what a combo,
Im a Psychology major, well specialization but the difference is nominal really. that and a stats class or two. so did you catch the canadian idol auditions at loyola this spring? a few of my fellow karaoke junkies thought lipsinging translated well to the stage apparently. (i cant sing i just look like i can *refers to avatar* :o )
well should head of to bed so i can wake up for classes tomorrow.
:)
Bah! I was told to audition, but I didn't. There's no way I could possibly take myself seriously after that, had I done it.
Hey- did you see that MATTHEW GOOD played on the Reggie's Terrace on Tuesday??! I walked out of class and there he was!! It was great.
I have a good friend who is in Psych. She's in Neuro. She's a bit freaky looking so you might have noticed her. Her name is Brigitte. She has a septum piercing, among other things. She is chill. I enjoy her.
I'm also a Specialisation in Anthro, awaiting official Honours status. So I hear ya.

gahh ya i saw that, I wanted to head over but I knew without even asking I would never convince my 80s head friend to come with me. and i wasnt wandering out alone.
Neuro, wow, that was my first love, fell out of love pretty quick too though when abnormal came into the picture. I notice people, but I notice everyone, actually the "oddest" are the ones that blend in the most for me. weird but true. but now ill probably be more aware.
I was just amazed by the presence of frosh activities in general this year... what is concordia comming too!!! lol.
Hello all in Montreal,
My husband and I want to come up there for a few days. It sounds like such a cool place to visit. Good bike paths I've heard!
So I was tooling around the internet looking for places to stay and eat and all, and it seems there are quite a few veggie restaurants...good for us vegetable-airans.
We were looking at hostels to stay at, does anyone have any suggestions for places to stay on the cheap?
Is it only about 6 hours away from NYC, or did MapQuest lie? That seems so close, I always thought it was 10 hours away, or something...
Do you have a favorite restaruant or museum? What about places to see music?
**Do I need a passport to go over the border? Mine expired and dont' know if I'll get a new one in time to go in Oct. Do I just need a driver's license? Anyone know how stiff the borders are now?
Anyway, any suggestions for cool stuff to do or see would be great.
Thanks guys.

NYC is about 8hrs, my parents drive it all the time though it isnt too bad.
places to stay in montreal ... the only hostel i know is auberge montreal, near the molson centre, but i sure there are more.
restaurants a ton you HAVE to go to Spirite Lounge, it has aluminum walls. and a unique item a night it is vegetarian but they will make it vegan if you want and cater to allergies.
there are a ton of veg in the downtown core (ie near st.denis and berri) and of course the commensal chain - but i dont like commensal.
also try both the idian and lebaneese restaurants, both have excellent cuisine here and much of it is veg. the later isnt cheep if you go to a proper sit down place but if you go to a walk up counter it is.
i dont need a passport to go to the states, i dont know about coming here. id check the immigration canada site. bring your birth certificate though
The old port is a great place to visit and i like the point a calebre (sp) museum

Hi All!
I was born in Montreal...my parents grew up in Verdun. But I've been a BC'er most of my life....and lived in the states in between (my dad was with the railway....Great Northern, Grand Trunk, CN, Via)
Fondly remember EXPO '67! I have alot of good memories of Montreal...my grandparents once lived there and I visited every summer!
