Not a one. >_< Somehow, I'm not surprised. I only know one vegetarian who lives on PEI; my former dentist (he's retired).

I live on PEI, for now. Anyone else?

It's really nice to see someone posting here. ^-^ I'm not in PEI now, though, in the US at the moment.

Heh. Figures ;)

Apparently there's only enough room for one veg*n on PEI at once :p

I'm in the area and am pesco vegetarian. I know a few vegetarians at my school but no vegans. Who knows how long they will last though, you never know if people will stick with it/ Anyway nice to hear there's some PE islanders here . :chef:

Hi Jazzy. :) I'm back in PEI again.

So, I've discovered the Formosa Teahouse recently, it's a cute place with veg options. You guys have any favourite veg friendly restaurants?

Cedar's Eatery! They have hummus and falafel and tabouleh, and more! Here (http://www.cedarseatery.com/menu.html) are some of the options you will find on their menu.

I really liked charlottetown. So many shops and restaurants and cafes in the downtown area. And most people I met there were so very friendly and accomodating.

I've never been to the Noodle House. I thought it closed .. or they were talking about closing?

I've seen the Noodle House (while walking on University Ave) it looked open.

Thanks for the tip on Cedar's :)

Formosa has vegetarian buns with tofu, shiitake mushrooms and other vegan ingredients, veggie sushi, veggie noodles, a few other things. It's very asian. They also have a lot of tea options, as the name suggests.

Are any of you interested in organizing a PEI meetup in Charlottetown? I don't have a car, but I'm within walking/biking distance to downtown, and places like The Noodle House.

I would love to except I am all finished in PEI as of this past Friday. I will only be back for a day or two in November for graduation and will likely be fairly busy.

I went to Formosa's Teahouse finally. What a cute place! The entire menu is veg! I wasn't crazy about the tea.. or the dumplings though. I thought the spicy buns were great.. and the sushi too. Tea tasted rather perfumy though..

Yeah I like Formosa, for a change every once in a while. Not all of their dishes are vegan, though.. and the 'veggie ham' is waaay too much like ham for me to trust it :stinkeye:

The noodle house is still open, I would encourage everyone to visit. The good is great, quick and I'd hate to see it go out of bussness or something.

Does the noodle house serve dishes that don't involve noodles? I'd like to go with my husband sometime, but he actually doesn't like pasta or noodles. :P

Umm I'm not honestly sure. I've gone 3 times, and everytime I 've gotten noodles.. um I really can't remember. My mind has gone blank lol.

Has anyone eaten at the relitively new restaurant on 77 University Ave? I think it's called Royal Tomburi or something, it's an East Indian Place. They have buffets Fridays and Saturdays 12 -2 , all you can eat for reasonable prices, and the atmosphere is great, aswell as athentic! Half of the foods at the buffet are veg, which is nice. I'd encourage anyone who likes indian food to visit and support them - they have only been there for 4 months.

Hmm, I haven't heard of it, but that's not far away from me. I'll keep that in mind, thanks. :)

I'm vegan and am moving to PEI in August. I'll be there for several years.

Any other vegetarians and vegans still on PEI?

I'd love to start a meetup group, if there are others.

I'm not still there but I spent a few years there (~2003-2006). I didn't run into very many vegetarians there, but I can't say I was aggressively searching. Where in PEI are you moving to? The grocery stores in Charlottetown have a pretty good selection of natural/organic/veg items, though I did find I had to go to *both* Sobeys and Superstore to get everything I was looking for.
