yeah thatd be sweet if you like it! $3 is cheap! I havent opened the mascara yet.. Im still using one I bought a month.5 ago. Its um.. Revlon Fabulash Waterproof.. I think its vegan, but I probably read the ingredients wrong. I think I checked them in my journal, but since then Ive gotten the list from PETA that I carry with me. Ive got a bit to learn still heh.

I LOOOOOVE the jerky. I got just the primal strips and one other kind. I used to eat stonewalls when I lived in Portland, but I dont remember loving it. I like the primal strips *drool* Thats too bad you didnt like it! Im disappointed in the gummy bears I got there. But thats life I guess.

oh. the makeup was just when you walk in the door. Next to a freezer.

I got the veg* b-complex from FLORA. It was only $17 for 90 pills!! I think its 50mg. I may be wrong, dont quote me on that haha.

hey, i just joined. I live in markham, used to live in toronto but moved, it's great to know there are atleast a few of us who have made the choice not to eat meat. I honestly became a veggetarian(working to be full veggan, but have to get rid of cheese and milk first, no eggs for me though) out of compassion and humanitarian reasons, more than health reasons. I think that if one chooses to eat junk it is ones choice, but animals shouldn't be dragged along in our choices.

Does anyone live in/near London? I cant drive all the way to Kitchener when I need vegan butter/jerky/sour cream/etc/etc so I need somewhere closer to purchase those things. Suggestions?

I DO!
Celeb Lactose free margarine is a cheap vegan alternative to EB. most Superstores/Zehrs/Loblaws have a vegetarian and/or health food section

i don't think celeb is vegan is it? as far as i could tell it was healthier than the average margarine, no trans fats or whatever but not vegan

if you have a zehr's in your area definately check there. that's where i get all my stuff, they have a pretty decent selection of soy alternatives. cheeses, spreads, mayo, ice cream etc. but the one here doesn't carry earth balance, i have to go to the health food store for that.

though check for this one: fleischman's, i'm not sure if it's all or just the one but i once discovered this one that was 2 or 3 tiny tubs bound together in a cardboard sleeve, it was totally vegan just by chance. it's the only supermarket margarine i've ever found that was

oh yeah and i'm in stratford, it's at least less of a drive than kitchener, if you're really desperate you could check the zehr's here and the health food store. if you're ever passing through email me i'll give you directions :) there's also a fantastic little vegan diner here. they make killer 'chicken' balls and nuggets, the best spinach salad on the planet, and baked goods to die for. i haven't tried everything on the menu cause i can't get over how good the chicken and salad are so i just always get the same thing lol. they even have fish and chips!
and they now sell whole cakes and pies if you order ahead

I have looked at fleischman's and thought it contained D3. And was hydrogenated. But it's been a while.

If you live in London, check out QuarterMaster in Wortley Village. They sell a ton of vegan food! They have a lot of freshly made meals there as well.

just the fleischman's in the little tiny tubs in the cardboard sleeves. the normal sized tubs are not vegan but as far as i could tell those little ones were. they're probably still hydrogenated that's hard to avoid with margarine. i haven't looked at it in a while either i've only seen it in stores a few times.

i was using earth balance faithfully but i got tired of spending almost $5 per tub and started using my husband's margarine for now while money's tight. it's got D3 but at least there's no whey or gelatin.

I checked them last night at Loblaws... they are non-hydrogenated, but do contain D3. Although, I personally don't think D3 is the biggest thing to be worrying about.

And there are quite a few things there that I cant wait to try - and they have tofutti sour cream and cream cheese. YUMMIDY YUM!! Thanks for telling me about that store!! :D :D

hmm. well maybe at the time that i was buying that brand i wasn't aware of D3. i know that for a while when i first went vegan i didn't know about it. heck it's been 6 years and i'm still working out some of those little kinks.
