Has anyone spotted these (http://www.healthiswealthfoods.com/products/chickfree-wings.htm) in Ontario? Preferably in Whitby.

Heh. Same old, same old. Figured it was a longshot. Oh well.

Now if only loblaws.ca would ever get around to answering my request for Vegan Gourmet Cheddar... :grr:

There was an incident a few years ago with that brand where they put REAL chicken in and sold it as the faux stuff. It wasn't intentional, but STILL. :spew:

oh and here's a link to where that was discussed:

I am staying in London with my dad for December. Restaurant recommendations for me, anyone?
might be a little late for advice but. I didn't like Jambalaya and it was pricey. I've never been to Zen Garden. but Mongolian Grill is veg friendly and very good.

Elliotts Mom and Garnett, not too late...merci beaucoups! I considered going to Jambalaya, but haven't tried it yet. I think I will give Take a try, I love Japanese.

hey everyone :)

I'm in SW ont as well... from Brantford, I usually do my shopping in ancaster... i've been looking around this area for vegan friendly places and the goodness me store is the closest i have found.

I make it to cambridge quite a bit, so i'd love to find something there...

Kriistian, I live near London. Welcome to VB :)

Joyinc, I get to Caimbridge occasionally too, it would be nice to have some type of meet-up there eh? We could talk about hair and eat veggies :p

Have any of you southern ontario people been to Green Door Vegan Variety in Kitchener? I have a flyer for it I picked up at the TVA vegetarian food festival. http://www.greendooronline.ca/

ooh, thanks for that, will probably go check it out, even though its not quite on my doorstep!

i wish i knew of somewhere like this in brampton, or nearby- i usually end up going to either orangevilles' little healthfood store (a bit of an epic trek really), or into toronto, for anything special... stuff like earth balance and other bits that i can't persuade a&p or fortinos to stock.

I'm a Vegan after many years of being vegetarian.
I enjoy cooking and eating, since becoming Vegan I've gone down to my ideal weight and have loads more energy.
I teach private cooking lessons and give veggie tours of Toronto which is a great way to meet wonderful people and stay healthy. I also do activism and volunteer on behalf of Animals. I look forward to sharing recipes, ideas and thoughts..

Maybe you could PM me with more info about where you're located in town, how much mobility you have, what you're looking for etc. :)

New girl on the board...hello fellow Ontarians.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the new meatless ground from Veggie Patch. I bought a couple packets in the last couple of months and it was absolutely fantastic.
Unfortunately, it was a test run and Costco may or may not sell it again. Boo hoo....it was great to use for Shepherd's Pie and lasagna.

What do others use ???

Generally I make it without any sort of meat sub, but otherwise, I'll make my own from tvp.
