Thanks for the maps. My friend lived in Moncton for a bit and she said she would go with me and give it a try. The maps will come in handy, I have only been to Moncton twice.
<3 Calactus Just got back from moncton ate breakfast/lunch there
 soo good
I'm going back to Canada this week, and will be driving past Moncton twice - and plan on stopping at Calactus both times :p

I love Calactus food..although the last experience I had there was not a good one...I don't know if I"ll be able to convince my bf to go back there with me sometime....waiting an hour to be served is not good customer service.

Sometimes the dietitians in the grocery stores will set up vegetarian cooking classes, but they don't get much support. I would suggest contacting them with your interest - if they get enough interested people they might do one. Most of the classes are quite cheap (only about $5-10 per person: the money they collect doesn't even cover the cost of all the food used).
I tried to sign up for one in Charlottetown, PEI when I was still living there but it was cancelled due to lack of interest

Dearest-Helpless ..welcome to the site :) Hope you enjoy your stay with us at VB :) I have met a lot of nice online people from this site in the past and I'm sure to meet many new friends (and hopefully some RL ones this time around). I was given a name of a lady a few years back of a vegan cook who gave classes. I didn't have the means for a class at that time and well..lost the number.I may try contacting the person who gave me her name and number and see what I can come up with

I miss Calactus! I love that place :)
Allo :) Question:
Does anyone know if NB Liquor carries red wines that are vegan?
Vegan Wine List (http://vegans.frommars.org/wine/) Check that out :) I'm sure they have at least one of those ;)

Hi! I'm in Sackville, studying a Mount A.
I've been to Calactus. It's so good! None of my friends are veg*n, so no one else really likes to go there though.
The Taj Mahal East Indian restaurant restaurant in Moncton has a really nice vegetarian menu, if anyone around there is looking for a good place to eat :) I went there yesterday and had Malak Paneer which was amazingly good!
Mmmm, Calactus! I'm going back to NB in December, and my bf was all iffy as to whether or not he wanted to go with me (he's a wimp, we live in Miami, I think he's scared of the cold!) But then I said "We can go to Calactus!" and he suddenly was very interested in coming along ;)

I've been wanting to go there for a long time. My boyfriend is visiting from Scotland in December...I'm meeting him in Halifax, so we'll stop in Moncton I think on the way back to Bathurst to have a nice meal. :)

Ok, so I'm heading to Moncton tomorrow. We're arriving at 11:45 am and we'll spend 2 hours at Crystal Palace, and two hours in Champlain Place, and I think I can make it to Cafe Calactus before getting on the train at 5:20pm to come back home.
I can't wait to try. vegan deserts!! *drool*

You "think" you can make it? Crystal Palace is fun and all, but I'd drop that place in a heartbeat to eat at Calactus!!!
