I think there are only 2 other Manitobans in here, so please post!

What do you like about Manitoba?

Is there anyone here who has travelled in MB?

OK I'll post so you're not alone!

I like about Manitoba that superjane is there!!! :D

How many French speaking people are in Manitoba?

surprisingly, there are a lot of small french communities in Manitoba. Out of 1.1 million people, about 49,000 are fluent francophones. There are many small french towns around my home town, although I only know a bit of french.

we have lots of low german speakers as well!!

I'm in Manitoba...Winnipeg :)

Please to meet fellow veggie Winnipeg-er's (although I'm dying to get out to Toronto - my sis hails from Vancouver and we both love bigger cities. 'Winterpeg' is a tad too small for me...)

Hey does anyone go to U of Man.? I would like to go there to get my M.A. at some point. Hearing about the campus and selection process would be great :)

Linzey, what the heck are you talking about in your last post?

anyway, I'm still in Winnipeg. What are you doing here? I grew up in a town of 350, so Winnipeg is pretty huge to me, but at the same time, I tend to always run into people I know.

What are your favourite restaurants to eat at here? I like East India Company and Sawatdee Thai. Have you been to Delicious Vegetarian and/or Affinity? I haven't been to either, which is crazy because I've lived here for 2 years now!

I love Mondragon in the warehouse area and it is totally vegan.
Affinity is one of our favourites for a nice dinner out with friends. East India Co. has a fabulous lunch/dinner buffet. Sushi train at the Forks has lots of choices for veg*n sushi.

Hey, Manitobans! I just want to say that I recently got back from a trip to your fine province (Winnipeg and Churchill --- the polar bears were AMAZING).

Stuck in Selkrack (Selkirk), a half hour's drive from Winterpeg.

Can anyone recommend any good Vegetarian restaurants, and where I can find them?

I don't eat out a whole lot, so I can't mention any great restaurants in Winnipeg. I do remember enjoying Ichiban's vegetarian dish, though.
