I'm bringing one of my vegan friends as well. Just so everyone can tell who I am, I'll be wearing a brown skirt and pink top.

I'm goin' try my very best to come, but if I don't make it I will be wishing I was there.

Wish me luck on selling my house though, it's gettin' close!

I'm very excited. I don't know yet what I'll be wearing, but I'll be the girl that looks like the girl in my avatar, except without the ponytail.

Can't wait to see everyone :)

Except Greenrunner. I suppose I'll have to wait to see him.

I just talked to Jeff_veg and he'll be there too.

I just called to try and make a reservation but it looks like they are not open right now.
Hopefully they will be tonight. If not, just wait outside and we can just walk to one of the million other restaurants right around there.

Yikes, I'm such an ass! Sorry I missed meeting all of you! With the day being so sunny, and me out running around like a madwoman at my car show in it, I got home, sat on the couch, and promptly fell asleep. :(

Definitely next time.

It's all good. It actually turned out that Sushi Kawa was closed, so we walked up to Towa Sushi. We were worried you'd be a little late and not be able to find us. Glad that didn't happen!

We're thinking of going to Open Sesame next time :)

Open sesame is delicious. :)

Yeah, that could have been bad - though I'm usually early rather than late...good thing.

What a good looking group! So when's the next meeting? Any danger in plannin' ahead?

Well, Jeff is gone for a month and he'll let us know when he's back, so maybe we could plan something for a night mid June or something?

Sounds good - and if I go to Calgary before then I'll post here in case anyone has nothing better to do but meetup.

Just FYI, Roots was bought out by Sobey's just a month or too ago.
I don't know if they are keeping it as an organic store or turning it into a regular Sobey's. I do know that they layed off almost all of the staff that was working at Roots though.

Yes, I'm quite sad that I couldn't make it as well. Turns out, jeff_veg & I know eachother from past lives. Hahaha. When he's back, we definitely have to make plans to go out.

In fact, I'm part of a facebook Veggie potluck group (oh, facebook!) that's gathering this Friday night. Maybe we could consider something like that?

I'd offer my house for such an event, but you'd have to forgive my father's taste in furniture and I'll only send the addie by PM. And no crazies, either! :P

I'm ba-ack... :)

Potlucks are fun, but only with a lot of people. A fun summer thing would be a vegan potluck BBQ! If there are less people, a restaurant might be best. I'll go out for South Indian on any day with anyone. I can't tell you how badly I missed Asian food when I was in Europe.

I went there a few weeks ago. I actually hard trouble selecting what to eat from the menu, nothing really seemed appealing. Maybe I'm just a picky eater or perhaps the chef suffered from the "Trying So Hard To Be Unique The Recipes Were Too Complicated Syndrome".

Really???

I found their recipes to be perfect. Not too many flavors going on, but enough to still be interesting. I suppose it depends on what kind of food you like. ...

Welcome back!!!!!!!!

How was your trip?? Or would you rather tell me about it over some Indian food?
