wow. now that I think about it I was watching the Daily Show and some people in Michigan were stating that God was punishing us by killing soldiers because "We were going all Brokeback mountain" lol :rainbow: ----> :devil:

I don't get the superstitious.

First of all there are TONS of ways to represent the date. 06/06/06 is one, but why should this one be used to create this superstition rather than the othesr? Oh yeah, it is because it conveniently looks they way some want. Why not use the full year? 06/06/2006. That one doesn't look so strange. Or spell out the month June 6, 2006. Hmm, nope.

We can play games with numbers all we want. Pi is an irrational number. Carry out enough decimal points and you'll find the number 666. Does this mean that Pi has some connection to the devil? Same for any other irrational number such as square root of two, or e.

Second of all the 0's kind of ruin it. Isn't the number supposed to be 666? So now we'll change it to 06/06/06 or 6/6/06 or something else to let our superstitious minds have a field day.

So no I won't be watching the skies for blood.

All I know is 06.06.06 is my birthday and I will cry if I want too. I am evil.:devil: :evil: I will see the Omen just for kicks. :p

Nah, no problem. It's can also be taken as the number for Nero. Something to do with numerology and people's names adding up to certain numbers. 616 is another option depending on how you spell the person's name.

Nope. Don't care, primarily because if you add 2+0+0+6, you get 8, not 6. I would have been more inclined to be nervous on 06/06/04 had it occurred to me to think about it. Which it didn't. :p

Why is June 6,2006 so special? Nothing world-ending happened in June 6, 1906 or June 6, 666. A date that I find more special is: Novenmer 11th, 2011, or 11/11/11 at 11:11:11 AM. When the number one or eleven lines up, an angel can grant you a wish, from what I heard.

don't even get me started on this, lol. as a brit in canada, i'd say its worse here, cos they seem to do it both ways/either way here... which is extra confusing *sigh*. when i wanna know the date... i tend to have a fair idea of what month i'm in, so its usually the actual day number that i wanna see first, lol. ah well.

I know a priest whose first name is Damian, and years ago (I don't remember when he said it was) he drew the 666 thing on his wrist as a joke.
