Smokey Toes--
Neither are completely veg, but have you tried Caspian Cafe on University or Himal Chuli on State? Both have some very tasty veg fair.
What veg cart in Madison?! On the Square or Library Mall? I will be in Madison Saturday afternoon maybe I'll get a chance to try it out.
Ohhh, I love Himal Chuli! :)
Also, I'll second the what veg cart question. I don't get downtown as often as I like, but I try to on Saturday mornings for the farmer's market.

I love Himal Chuli as well!
The veggie cart is called Dandelion and is located at the 100 Block of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. From vegmadison.com
"All-vegetarian "Restaurant" Name: Dandelion Type: Lunch Cart Downtowners, there's a new all-veg lunch cart downtown, just off the square. Dandelion. VERY vegan-friendly (they'd prefer to do vegan, but include cheese on a few items to please the average luncher). Location: 100 Block of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Hours: Lunchtime 11:00AM-2:00PM Mon-Fri Price: "Main" items $5.50-7.00, including side salad and chips. Side of grilled veggies is $3.00-ish.
Review: by Paul "All items are vegetarian, made from scratch. Sandwiches, a BBQ tofu platter, seitan fajitas, etc. Excellent fresh veggies, including REAL greens, in the side salads. Ingredients listed right on the menu on the side of the trailer. Dressings, sauces, aiolis, etc. are made with Veganaise. Cheese included on some items, but all items can be made vegan; just ask. "

I just moved to the Milwaukee area (Brookfield) for a job. I moved from NC. I don't know anyone in the area yet and it'd be cool to meet some fellow vegetarians. How's the veggie scene around here?
I work at Stir Crazy in IL, it's a veg-friendly stir fry place and they're opening a store in Brookfield any day now, or it might already be open. We have fantastic tofu lettuce wraps

I live really close to Brookfield Mall, so I've passed the Stir Crazy building. I'll have to try it out when it opens. Also, I just found a 100% vegetarian place in Brookfield right by Sendik's foods. It's called Cafe Manna (http://www.cafemanna.com/). It was really tasty.

I went to Mexican Fest a couple weeks ago. We stopped at Cafe Manna for lunch, but unfortunately they were closed :(
I was looking forward to trying them out too

Yeah, I think they are closed Sundays.
I went to Mexican Fest too, this city is awesome for all of the stuff to do. :) NC didn't have nearly as much to do.
Just poking my head in to say hi and give the WI bored some love!

I went last night and really enjoyed it! This is the first time I've been to a vegetarian restaurant...it was so nice to be able to order off the menu like a normal person. And their juiced drinks were fabulous...I had the green limonaide :)

:cry:Waaaaaaaaaah!
I live in Owen, in the middle of nowhere and there's no one to share my vegan righteousness with! It's all brats and dairy cattle around here! In the spring, they actually spray liquid manure into the air as fertilizer. That is so wrong!
Ack!:wall:

My daughter (age 12) and I live in Madison WI!
We are often in Milwaukee for her Irish dance classes. I've been veggie for about 20 years and my daughter since she was born. We are strongly considering going vegan, but I personally would find it hard to give up pizza...and I feel guilty about that.
