Portland is a nice little city but it is a little south of the Columbia; and nothing personal have no desire to make a 3.5- 4 hr drive just for lunch.

No plans for dinner but I will be at Marymoor's Off leash dog park for a few hrs

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I had my very first entirely vegetarian Christmas (usually I end up eating just potatoes at someone else's house) It was supposed to be a vegan Christmas, but my little brother had used some "I can't believe it's not butter" cooking spray in one of the dishes we made, which we found out after the meal that it has dairy in it. The stuffing I made flopped, put too much pesto in the stuffed mushrooms.. it's not Christmas unless there's some kind of culinary disaster.. all in all, it was a good Christmas. How was everyone else's?

Good Christmas. Spent it with the carnivore parents and siblings and their families. I'm less strict with my kids' diets when we're visiting them. They wound up eating more eggs, dairy butter, and foods with dairy in them than they normally have.

My six year old looked at me after his cousin gave him some buttered toast and asked me, "Mommy? Is this cow toast?"

LMAO!!

I said, "Yes dear, it's cow toast". Kids say the darndest things.

Does anyone know any salad bars around that have hearts of palm? I love them, but am too cheap to buy them at the store.

Wouldn't buying them be cheaper than getting a salad at a restaurant? Anyways, I've seen them at the salad bars at Marie Callendars and Ruby Tuesday's. Not much else vegan at those places though...

I heard that there's a new Vegetarian restaraunt that's opened in Issaquah. Apparently it's in the same plaza as the QFC. Anyone been? Anyone wanna go?

How do lunch hours work for you all? I could make it there by 11:45/noonish on most any weekday.

Lunchtime on Mondays and Tuesdays is bad for me, okay otherwise.

It'd have to be a weekend for me, sorry but I'm one of those 9 - 5 working Moms with little free time during the week. (Plus I live a GOOD drive from Issaquah!!)

Don't plan around my schedule though - do whatever works for others...
