Sunflower rocks. I love just down the street from there....how convenient, lol :p

Sunflower is an excellent choice. My only reservation is that we might lose some Baltimore people by choosing a location on the west side of the DC area. Perhaps a place like Vegetable Garden in Rockville or Udupi near Silver Spring might be slightly more centralized locations?

not trying to raise *too* much trouble here - we certainly can't go wrong with a Sunflower plan.

Me personally: Just tell me when to be where...:p

we could choose a DC/VA area, and if everyone decides to do it again, a Baltimore location. DC/Baltimore really isn't too far away from each other.

Or even a place like Laurel or Columbia, which are pretty close to each side.

Eitherway I'm there no matter which place is decided on. :)

Ok, Sunflower it is. Now for the challenge: setting a time and date. I'll go out on a limb and suggest Sunday February 15 at 4PM as a wild first guess. Feel free to suggest a totally different day/time as any of you wish.

To me, it makes sense to find a core group in this forum of people who can attend a particular proposed time, and once we have a set time, I'll post something in the MD and DC forums.

As of right now, that sounds good for me.

let's see - we've got 5. That's enough for a table, so this thing is a go as far as I'm concerned. I'll throw an announcement in the DC and MD forums this week. Woohoo!

Is anyone bringing a guest? I'd like to bring my fiance along.

Well, if you are, I'll bring my boyfriend along.

I guess we'll have to get *2* tables........

but yes, bringing a guest is fine by me.

anyone know if they take reservations?

CharityAJO

They don't. Heh. I've definetely waited over an hour for a table. I guess getting there at four (before the dinner rush) is a good idea!

I would go but it's kinda far from Richmond... (and I'm not old enough to drive!) Sounds like fun though! :)

well, this is now only a few days away. (Can you feel
the anticipation building?!!) I have the count as
me, Bunnyfish, Kerouac, CAJO (+1), and Jenner(+1).
Did I miss anyone??

I'll try to get there a little early to secure a table.
I've posted a picture in the photo forum so that you
can spot me (although I'm a blur in that picture compared
to the mountain). Thank goodness it's a small restauarant!
Anyone have a digital camera to bring along for
evidence, er, I mean to capture the fun of the event?

Asylum (18th St. Just south of Columbia Rd.) does a new expanded VEGAN brunch in its newly-expanded space.

Last time I was there, they featured:
tofu scrambles (with or without chili)
vegan chocolate pancakes (often have berry instead)
vegan french toast (OMG good)
vegan sausage and maybe bacon
um. other vegan and veggie things.

Starts at 11 every Sunday - I'm ALWAYS there.

AND it's a couple of blocks up the street from Sticky Fingers. Yum!
