Surely this is a joke. If not, these people are human cattle theivies' perfect targets. In fact this probabaly all started with some particularly good human cattle theives who only took a few cows from each property and didn't leave any tracks. It's a good scheme. You get people believeing that aliens are responsible and nick their cows when everyone's looking up.

That looks like something out of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Maybe the aliens just got tired of turning people into Scotsmen, and are now on to adbucting cows.
