Yeah, apparently I did. :-/
The wind is ridiculous today! It was all nice and calm when I walked to work this morning and now......
I hope this crap leaves soon. And stays gone.

You are forgiven on one condition....you have to keep it from snowing on Thursday.

Ok, anyone wanna take bets on if we get this winter precipitation that's been allegedly forecast to hit us either overnight tonight or tomorrow?

Last year (or late `06) I said "When I see it, I'll believe it." and we ended up getting 10 inches.
I'm guessing about an inch and half this time. I really don't want any. I'm ready for Spring.

Oh... just FYI for Tulsans. The Food Pyramid on Brookside has a couple aisles of healthy/alternative foods. It's nice to see some veg friendly items in a regular grocery store - not just a few boxes of Silk. And if they don't have ____, Whole Foods is around the corner. I haven't compared prices yet though.

Tulsa got that much snow??? Wow. I haven't seen more than about 1/2" in Norman in forever.

Good thing there were no takers, or I'd have been out some money.
:brood:
I am not liking this weather.

Is it that bad? All that stuff is supposed to hit St. Louis soon.
ETA - Oops. I just looked at the window and it's already snowing. It's going to be fun times getting home.

It's not that bad. Just flurries and cold and wind here.
I'm just a baby.

Yep! It did. I actually took a ruler outside. It was 11" between the cars and 9-10" everywhere else. My dog (Princess - the Jack Russell Terrier with me in my avatar pic) was belly-deep in the snow. It was funny to see her bunny-hopping across the yard. The most I'd ever seen before that event was 7-8" when I was a kid.

Wow, that's a lot of snow for Oklahoma!
I made a liar of myself by posting that we never get more than 1/2" in Norman. We got right at an inch today.

:smitten: Brookside....
I miss Tulsa :( When did you guys get a Whole Foods??? No fair...
Brandon

No kidding, it's not fair! We don't have Whole Foods in Norman!!!
Last I heard WF wouldn't build in OK due to the "no wine in grocery stores" thing.

Whole Foods was the Wild Oats. They recently began changing over to Whole Foods. I think their sign still says WO.
Prices went up too. Perhaps partly due to the 7 days without power in December. They lost a lot of groceries.
What do you (whoever else in Tulsa) think of all of the tree debris? I've only see one of the sites - Johnson Park (58th or so on Riverside). Tulsa has mountains now! And mountains of mulch. It's crazy.
WonderRandy
02-01-08, 08:38 PM
See, they didn't even have Wild Oats when I was there.....

02-02-08, 08:02 PM
Randy, how long has it been since you've been to Tulsa?
Brandon

No Wild Oats here either.
Brandon

So, smallleah....do the Whole Foods there sell wine?
smalleah
02-04-08, 08:27 PM
I don't drink so I've never paid attention. I can't recall seeing any. Next time I go I'll take a look.
Brandon

I'm just curious. I heard someplace that the reason they won't consider building in Norman was the whole wine sales issue and apparently they consider the revenue from selling wine substantial enough to not build here.

Now that each state has its own forum I'll be closing the state threads. Please continue any discussion by starting a new thread in this forum. Thanks!
