If I'm not mistaken, my mother went to all of those schools as well. :)

Yeah, yeah yeah........:moonpie: :p

You know you wish you were here, with the varying temperatures, 50 mph freezing North wind and everything brown and dead.

Yes!! I'm definitely sick of not knowing whether the temp will be closer to 60 degrees or 10 lol.

That wind has been from hell, eh?

A girl came into my office today and informed me that "it is so cold it should be illegal."

The funny thing is,I tend to agree with her! I'm not a winter wonderland lover at all! I'm so ready for summer!

Brandon

I used to love winter. Not sure what was wrong with me. :p

Now I love the summer and warm weather.
I've been wanting to put on some shorts and my running shoes and go run like crazy.

I have no idea how some people can love the winter! I honestly want to move away to some warm locale just so I can get some consistent weather that I can enjoy lol. :pibo:

Hey, Miss_Anthropic,
I just saw on your profile that you like Tool. Are you going to the show next month?

I'm going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers and also to the Evanescence show. Got nosebleed seats for the RHCP but am on the floor for Evanescence. :guitar:

Oh,don't tug at my heartstrings right now lol. I'd love to see Tool! I hate going to concerts alone though,so I'm going to try to get my friend to tag along. When are the RHCP coming? Last I heard, they had a concert scheduled Jan. 12th,but then it was cancelled due to weather! I had no idea about Evanescence either. I really have to get with the program, evidently.

Brandon

RHCP did get cancelled but they rescheduled for the 12th of March if I'm not mistaken.

Evanescence is on the 21st of March at the Ford Center.
Tickets are way cheaper than the RHCP, they are $35 for floor seats. We paid about $70-something for nosebleed seats for the Chili Peppers.

I want to see Tool but I don't know if I can financially swing it after the other 2 concerts.
I heard tonight that the Who is coming in March too.

What's with all of these concerts all of the sudden?

Do you like Tool's 10,000 Days cd?
Have you seen them live before? I saw them at Lollapalooza a long time ago, right after Undertow came out.
They rocked.

Damn! I had no idea these were all coming in the same month. I'd love to see RHCP again. The last time I did was back in....oy,'00/'01? Anyway,I went all the way to Seattle for the concert because I missed their OKC appearance lol.

10,000 Days is so different than Undertow and Aenima (love those!). I honestly don't know quite what to make of it,but I know I still like it. I have never seen them live before and I just know that I'm missing out.

Agree about 10,000 Days. It has some really good tracks on it though. Maynard sounds just as good live as he does on CD.

So you saw RHCP on the Blood Sugar Sex Magic tour?
I'm totally jealous! That album and Ritual de lo Habitual were like my favorite things of all time in 01.

Actually, let me think....I think it was for their Californication album. It was right after Dave Navarro left the band and John Frusciante returned. I missed out on the Blood Sugar Sex Magic tour! Now you've made me sad. :notvegan: LOL!

Ah, okay. As much as I love Dave Navarro's guitar playing (Jane's = :wayne: ) I still think Frusciante is the best RHCP guitarist.

Do you all have snow still in Del City?
We have a bit left, mostly under the rooflines, etc. in Norman.

02-17-07, 02:51 AM
Ah,I don't even need to get started on Dave lol. I love that man dearly! I agree with you though, his style was best suited to Jane's Addiction. RHCP's stuff isn't nearly as dark as what Dave's used to playing.

We have a little bit of snow still left on the ground here. I'm just hoping I don't have to look at any more until NEXT winter, but you know how that is lol!

Brandon
02-17-07, 02:56 AM
Yep, it might be next winter, or next Tuesday.

Last time I was in Del City was for my grandfather's funeral last fall. It blows me away how different things are now!
We moved from Del City to S. OKC in 82 or 83. There's so much that's new, but so much that is just exactly how I remember it. I used to live off of 29th and Vickie Dr.
We drove past the old house and it's totally re-done. Pretty crazy!
I still remember when Walls bargain center's roof collapsed back in the 80's and trapped a bunch of people in there.

I've been here for the majority of my life,so it's hard to imagine anything looking 'new' to the people who come back! I'm sure I'd feel the same way though if I'd been away for a long time lol.

Is the Apollo theatre still around in MWC? I saw some of the first movies of my life there, including Star Wars back in 79.

You know,I highly doubt it because I'd never even heard of it until now!
