Yay! I like the photo.
Nice picture, you two!
So you gals have to tell me what you ate at VegiTerranean. I've been there once for dinner - we had gnocchi (gnocci?) and the fritto chicken. And once for lunch - shroomburger and shroom panini. Dessert both times = cheesecake w/raspberry puree, whipped cream and fresh berries. Heavenly!

I think Skylark got the fritto chicken. I tried it, and it was delicious. Her boyfriend got the filet mignon, and I had steak marsala. Their fake meat is amazing!
We had walnut chocolate torte for dessert, I think. It was good, but I was full. :)

I always want dessert but there's never any room (darn it!) - but I did force myself at the VegiT! That stuff on the fritto chicken that tasted like maple syrup (with hot pepper specks?) was a real surprise, but delicious. I am dying to try so many more items off their menu.
It's such a relief to go out to eat and not have a server reciting all those daily specials that you know you won't be eating, or wondering why you don't want that bacon or sausage that's included with your meal. Just knowing you can order anything off that entire menu... happiness. :)
Hope you get to go again sometime soon!

NO KIDDING! I am so going back as soon as I return from Bolivia, where the only food I am sure is vegetarian is the stuff I make in the kitchen in the house where I'm staying. So far I make my best guess about the food that's offered to me and hope for the best.

Anyone planning a meetup near columbus????
I just joined the Columbus Vegan Meetup group. I live in Chicago, but I'm going to be in Columbus the first weekend in April and plan to attend their April event:

If you and/or anyone else who's in the Columbus area can attend the same event, that would be way cool. It wouldn't be a VB-members-only gathering, but you'd get to meet at least one VB'er (me!). :)

All right, who would be down for a Columbus meet-up? Maybe I could plan one.

I'd absolutely come to a Columbus meetup this summer. I likely won't be in the area until mid-June, though. Early August is also out.

Now that each state has its own forum I'll be closing the state threads. Please continue any discussion by starting a new thread in this forum. Thanks!
