I am! Jes and I did Zen Palate today, and it was great! Except for me being kinda scheeved out by a girl I went to college with who came in mid-meal, and I just sat there hoping and hoping she wouldn't notice me, and she didn't. Triumph!!!
We had a great time! It was so nice to sit down and eat a really fantastic meal and not have to explain 'It's a form of soy,' to a skeeved friend.
We're hoping for an October meetup! Just post some dates y'all are available and maybe we can plan something up in the city.

That's awesome! How was the place? I've never been there.
I'm free anytime.

It was very good!
I'm not free the first or last weekend in October, but any other time.

I have class -- so it'd have to be 2 or later.
How does 2pm at Zen Palate sound?

We should post this somewhere else because I don't think all people from NY actually read this forum!!
(that being said, its fine with me!)
ETA: I just made a post in Veggie Patch :p

How does 2pm at Zen Palate sound?
That doesn't work for me.

Thats because you live in a different state.
That doesn't work for me.
The Lear is in the shop, darling.
Does anyone know of any pizza places on long island, preferably (or queens) that offer pizza with soy cheese?

I'm sure we could arrange one :)
Of course I should wait and see how today goes first!!
I'm sorry I missed it. I live about 100 miles away from NYC, but I can easily get to a train station. And there are other things to do down there. I've been itching to make a return visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art (not that I know that much about art yet...).

Heh. Well only Jes and I showed up, but if you're planning on coming out one weekend, let us know, and I'm sure we could pop in for lunch again!

This doesn't bode well for NY's bid to be the home of the 2005 VB gathering.
