After my class ended, I spent some quality time shopping in Macy's. :) By the way, they have an awesome salad bar/restaraunt on the lower level.

I'll check out the Wholefoods market this Saturday.

It appears as though the Veg City Diner might be closed for good. It never reopened after the fire they had months ago. My friend said there's no sign out front stating when or if they're going to reopen. That's too bad, because their vegan desserts were to die for.

thats just sad :( I never got to go! I almost did a couple times, but then was like caught in traffic or needed to catch a train out or something. I hope they rebuild!

Cool. I'm planning on visiting Beacon this Saturday. An artist friend of mine just told me that there is the biggest art gallery in the US right in Beacon. I also heard that there is a great growing community of artists there. Would you agree?

I haven't been to Beacon, but I'd imagine that it is amazing! Let me know how it goes because if it is good, my boyfriend and I will drive up one weekend this fall.

An absolute must see is the Storm King Art Center, which is in the same region. It is a sculpture park and I was completely astonished by the artwork there this summer. I cannot overstate my recommendation for this place!
