I've never tried theirs, but Smuckers makes a darn good natural PB, as does this brand called "Yum", which is only $2.99 per jar. I found that in C-Town.
I heard the Smuckers brand has a slightly burnt taste - not sure since I never tried it personally. And I never heard of the Yum! brand. Do they sell it at Whole Foods?? Sounds good. :)
Also, I visit Manhattan as much as possible - I was just there about 2 weeks ago. I used to live in NJ, but now live in MD (which unfortunately is about a 3-4 hour drive away). :p

Hey I used to live in Baltimore, MD. Where are you?
I visited Manhattan for the first time about 2 mos. ago, I can't WAIT to go back! Good health food selections, too.

Hey DancNSpin! I used to live in Baltimore County :hi:
Now, I'm in Columbia, MD. It's a cool, quiet suburban area (not like the city at all - lol). But seriously, I love visiting NYC as well. They do have a lot of great places!
NY :lovesign: too

Neat! So did I. What part of B-County did you live in? I lived in Reisterstown (next to Owings Mills) for about 8 years, and lived in Boring for 2.
NY luv you guys too :p

Cool, I was maybe 15 minutes from Reisterstown, and I still frequent Owings Mills Mall
I lived on Woodlawn (close to Catonsville).

Yeah I used to go to that mall all the time before they built Towson Town mall. Owings Mills Mall got kind of ghetto though, and they really had to crack down on security. I guess for a while, it wasn't safe to go there at night b/c gang groups liked to hang out there.

My cousins live in Reisterstown. My mother's from Baltimore, so all her family lives down in MD someplace. I'm glad we live in NY though!

Really!? How long ago was this? Now, Towson Town Center seems more ghetto than Owings Mills. OM mall is pretty quiet, clean, and really nice every time I go. Actually, I only frequent there because the hair/beauty salon I go to is there though - which is great btw :). And my stylist also does hair/makeup for some celebrities (for various fashion shows). I was even in one of there hair/fashion shows last year, that they held in front of Macy's w/ a runway and everything.
Wow, I never heard of any gang-related trouble happening around there - yikes!

It was probably about a year or two ago. My mom told me about it.

Wow... well, yeah, I'll stick to Columbia mall then (the one closest to me), at least for my regular shopping and such.
Oh and I'm hoping to visit NYC again in August

Hello fellow Ny'ers! Anyone from Upstate NY? I'm in Rochester.
I'm in Scare-acus, and often go to Rochester Saturday nights... confusing driving downtown!

What's in Rochester on Saturday nights? The city here is the easiest city to navigate ever. You really can't get lost...you drive around until you see a sign for the Expressway, they're everywhere. :)
Ok New Yorkers, I'm going to the city this Saturday (for the day only). Do you know of any cool, hip, funky cafes that I should check out? Ya know the kind that's kinda cozy, where you can comfortably sit for hours and people watch while you sip a soy latte? Also, the kind of place where there is the potential to meet my soulmate (in a non-bar kinda way)? For part of the day I'll be around West 35th street, so something in the general area would be great.
Thanks! :shy:
I'm not in the know when it comes to cafes or restaurants there, but you should definitely go to the Wholefoods Market in Chelsea at 7th Ave & 24th St.
Cool, I'll check it out, if I can find it. :p

I go to the Vertex and bust some silly moves to any of the old school goth/industrial they play that agrees with my severe tastes.
I got lost in the triangularity of the Liberty Poll Way area, wound up turning two lefts and was head back the way I came!

Aww, Sky, I wish I could have seen your post before. Well ,for your next visit, check out:
Teany - Rivington St between Ludlow and Orchard - tiny 3/5 vegan cafe, awesome place, owned by Moby!
Earth Matters - Ludlow between E. Houston and Stanton - cafe/supermarket/beauty supply - AWESOME place, all organic, 80% vegan
Too tired to think right now, but I'm sure I'll be able to think of more later. And if you're ever back for a day and want to have lunch or something, let me know!

Nope. But around 42nd, there's Better Burger which makes incredible soy and veggie burgers, has vegan cookies and popcorn, too! It's on 37th and 3rd I believe.
Another Upstate NYer here. I like NY City too, though.
