Is anyone here from or familiar with Springfield? I'm going to be visiting for a week and I'm wondering what vegan friendly restaurants might be there. Thanks!

I went to school there from 95 to 01. Unfortunately, I don't remeber finding many vegan friendly restaurants. Then again, I was only vegan the last couple months I lived there ... and the place is bound to have new stuff since then. Sorry to be of no help. If I think of anything later, I'll post

Howdy, KC here. Independence really, but more people seem to know where Kansas City is. Anyone still alive here from KC?

Independence for me to! Out by Fort Osage school district. What part of Indepence. I grew up on 35th and Lee's Summit road.

I was raised in KCMO. Moved around a bit. Recently had lunch with my dad at - I think it was called - Lula's Thai. He works downtown KCMO, lives in Shawnee, KS.

I'm from St. Louis. I'm stuck in Charleston right now though, but I'm trying to get back. (Or at least to Scott AFB which is close enough)

I'm from KC, born & raised!
Anyone in or near Kansas City, visit www.VegKC.com (http://www.vegkc.com). My friends run the whole thing, and every month we have lil' vegan potlucks (in which I bring the best food...hehehe...) We also have a veg*n meetup once a month, and those are pretty cool. vegan.meetup.com/4 (http://vegan.meetup.com/4) and vegetarian.meetup.com/14 (http://vegetarian.meetup.com/14)
So, if you're in KC and you're looking for a local veg*n group to hang with, this is it.

You sure do plan ahead! Whats bringing you to STL? I only know of four of 'us' that live here. Unfortunately, two of those people are no longer VB-ers.

Arbonne is holding their National Training Conference there. Beware, the city will be taken over with gorgeous women! :p

I just saw this. What part of KCMO were you around? I love downtown KC. I still get lost after all these years, lol. Did you go to high school or grade school around here? I went to Truman High. Yes, it was a very high school, lol:p

I know the Shawnee area a little bit. What does your dad do dowtown?

Has anyone here ever been to Pita +? Like... 1/2 of their menu is vegan-friendly, without being mock anything. It isn't all up on the wall with the rest of the menu, some of it you have to ask for.

But seriously, Pita += the best falafel in the freakin' universe.

Hmm. I don't think I've ever seen one. Are there any in St. Louis?

St. Louis, born and raised. I just recently moved to House Springs, which isn't too far away from STL.

Just recently I paid a visit to Eternity Vegetarian Deli & Juice Bar. It's on Euclid. Cool place.. all their items are vegan-friendly :) If you go there, be sure to get a berry smoothie! It's delicious! Anyone else here eaten there?

Several of us Vbers have been to Eternity :D There was a VB get-together in STL so we all had to try the place out. I'll probably be there again this weekend. My favorite is the kale! :lick:

My husband was raised in Higginsville. Small town meat people. :stinkeye: Sorry, you are not going to find much. Jump on I-70 west for 40 minutes and hit KC. You will have better luck.

Go to the grocery store on Fairground Ave. Ask for Rick. See if he can help you cuz he owns the grocery store. (that is in higginsville and see if that works.)

Chesterfield, Missouri here. There's a Pita + just down the road from me, although I had NO idea what it was until you mentioned it. I thought for sure it was an electronics store, haha. :)

Are you freaking kidding me? I just moved out of Chesterfield in to the city. Considering the small population of Chesterfield its interesting that we've have several VBs from the area.
