How do the Minnesotans here feel about wolves in Minnesota? Just curious...

I'm in Alaska now, but grew up in MN! (I'm sorry. I know, I'm posting all over, I've lived a few places :rolleyes: ) I still have friends and family there. If I make it there in June to visit them, we will have to get together! :) I lived in Iowa too for awhile! :D

I would just like to say, Minnesotans must be some damn nice people. I have a lady that I've never met except via email (not even on a forum) who is going completely out of her way for me. You know, the more Americans I meet the more I'm convinced that the world has no idea how wonderful you guys are...

Aw, thanks shewolf! It's nice to hear more people who aren't Americans finally saying we aren't all self-centered jerks. :D

I'm surprised there are not more Twin Cities folks here...I was hoping to meet some local people and make some new friends!

I actually went to Minneapolis right after school until incredibly late last night. I had a meeting at the U of M, so my dad and I walked around for about an hour. And I must say, it's very nice, I could picture myself going to college (if I figure out what I want to do) there. It was a nice day, too. Too bad the meeting was bo-ring! :(

I will be in the Twin Cities area June 14th-19th (then Atlanta (YAY!) the 19th-22nd) and back in MN the 23rd-28th. So if anyone wants to take me out for lunch or something drop me a line! :D

That would be awesome shewolf! Once I know where I'll be staying at that time I'll let you know how to contact me once I'm there. I've been checking out the veggie restaurant options around there, but being broke myself I'll have to look a bit closer at the prices now! :D This is going to be the coolest trip EVER!

Becareful shewolf... trusting someone you've only met via email can be risky!!!

I know Danny... but I met her through a legit bus company and the company knows about me chatting with her... it's not like she was trawling the web for me! I met her by complete accident... I am pretty cautious Danny, but sometimes I think you just have to trust people. I've not had anything truly bad happen to me yet, and I've put myself in some pretty dodgy situations... if I am in the least but suss I'll just back out.

I'm thinking about those lunch plans..... ;)

Ok, so this book I have tells me that "no vegetarian should leave Minneapolis (or Minnesota for that matter) without visiting The Mudpie."
So I'm thinking I'll take thier word for it! Any comments from anyone who knows better? Otherwise, let's get together there on June 26th. Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? What works for you shewolf? SallyK, will you come too? Anyone else?

I think lunch would work better for me...I'd really like to go but I can't make a firm commitment YET...it's too far in the future for me to plan!! But I'm going to do everything I can to fit it in!
