My husband and I would love to join you all for a meet-up. We live in Ferndale, so Blue Nile would especially work for us!

I am six months pregnant, so that's 3 people right there. :)

I have been craving Blue Nile so much lately... I think my baby already loves Ethiopian food.

I propose that we continue planning for a meetup. Any weekend, except May 15-16 work for me. Should we aim for a late May / early June meetup at the Blue Nile in Ferndale? Or, some place in Ann Arbor? We have a Blue Nile here, and it may be a shorter drive for some, as it is slightly more centrally located than the Detroit area (for you West Siders).

If we do it in Ann Arbor, during May 22-23 strawberry may be in town. That's a guaranteed 2 attendees! :D

During the May 22-23 weekend is good for me, and the weekend after that (which I think is Memorial weekend, hmmm... that reminds me, my birthday is coming up! heh heh.) The first weekend in June doesn't really work out so well, and after that no guarantees because I can't remember my schedule for camp where I'll be working. I've got some weekends off and some not.

Anyway, basically what I mean to say is, the weekends of the 22-23 and the 29-30 are good for me!!!

Those weekends are fine for me, but where is Ferndale?

Ferndale is here (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?fakeTab.x=0&fakeTab.y=0&fakeTab=fakeTab&country=US&countryid=250&addtohistory=&searchtab=address&searchtype=address&address=&city=ferndale&state=mi&zipcode=)

Ann Arbor is here (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?fakeTab.x=0&fakeTab.y=0&fakeTab=fakeTab&country=US&countryid=250&addtohistory=&searchtab=address&searchtype=address&address=&city=ann+arbor&state=mi&zipcode=)

Both contain Blue Nile Ethiopian restaurants.

Who wants to meet up on the 29th of May in GR?

Yikes, the 29th is kinda soon, because this is the last week of school and graduation is coming up and all that...but Grand Rapids sounds better to me than Ferndale or Ann Arbor, those are both like, 4 hours away. I might make it, but my parents are kinda wierd about me driving long distances.

Okay, Michiganders (and honorary ones :D ), let's try again. kpickell and I planning to visit Michigan's Adventure the weekend of September 18th/19th. If there are other VBers interested in going to the park and/or dinner, that would be great.

If there are any interested parties, please post as to which day (Sat/Sun) works out best for you.

Yay!

Here's a pretty good source for veggie restaurants and events in the Detroit Metro area:

Going to school in Flint, does that count? I'm only here 22 weeks of the year, but it's long enough, right?

I'll have to ask my mom, but that'd be awesome! And I'm more familiar with some of the rides there, so I might ride more :)

merr- definitely join us if you can, the more the merrier :)

Cissy - the rides are definitely much tamer than CP...they only have 4 roller coasters. (There's a bungee jump though, lol).

I know I've been on Shivering Timbers, Wolverine Wildcat, the Corkscrew, and something with mice shaped cars? Plus a bunch of the other rides.

Anyway, I told my Mom, and I think I'll be able to go! :nana:

Shoot, I forgot about the Mad Mouse. Then, they actually have 5 then (Zach's Zoomer, the "tame" one, lol). If I can find it, I'll post a pic of sis and me on the Shivering Timbers . heh

Yay! Big fun in Michigan. :D

Saturday works better for me.
Sundays okay too, I would just need to leave in time to make it back to work that night.
