The Raw Meetup group is gathering this Saturday at Cousin's from 1 - 4 p.m. Mehmet is providing the spread, and all he asks is that each person bring an ivy plant for the restaurant. I'm a member of the raw group (but I haven't yet attended any of the Meetups) and replied "Maybe" for attendance, but I could be persuaded to reply "Yes" if someone else is interested in going. Any takers? ;)

I would if I were closer, I loved that place, the food was so light and refreshing. :lick:

I wish you WERE closer, Michael, and I'm happy to hear you liked Cousin's so much! I love it, too, and I could eat like that every day!

Aside from my lack of navigational skills...I can't see any reason why I couldn't go with you! We'd have a blast...especially since I'm feeling much more like myself now.

How about Jen? I could pick you two up!
I'll add whomever wishes to go as my guests so Mehmet has a fairly accurate head count.

Hey...this isn't a veg event, but I wanted to pass along info about it anyway :sealed: :

revelsunrise and I had a blast at the Raw Meetup at Cousin's! :hamster: We arrived a little early, so we volunteered our services and helped with the setup for the event. The food was super-yummy (including the desserts  ), and we met some really great people! I'm more excited than ever about incorporating more raw food into my diet! :lick:

And to continue the ongoing tradition of visiting multiple restaurants in one day, we later went to Soul Veg, where we gorged ourselves until we were moaning and groaning, and we waddled out of there wishing we had worn pants with elastic waists. Ahhh...good times!

For next Saturday, does anyone have an idea of when we should meet for lunch at Chicago Diner? Michael & Hummus!....what's your ETA? Do you want to come to my place first so we can all ride together, or do you just want to meet at the Diner? jj1, what time works best for you and Mrs. jj1?

As far as I know, we have me, Michael, Hummus!, IamJen, revelsunrise, jj1, Mrs. jj1, and our new friend from last weekend (she won't be attending Brokeback Mountain with us, as she already saw it, but she wants to have lunch with us at the Diner and join us the following morning for breakfast at Pick Me Up Cafe).

Anyone else? Magnus? vggiegirl? smedley?

I was saying to another member :) that maybe we could try Blind Faith for lunch? The movie's playing at a theatre right nearby, and we could always do desserts at the Diner afterward. :D Either place is cool with me, but I know we have some Blind Faith virgins in our group, so it would be a new experience. heh

I have a job!!! :vebo: :bobo: :pibo: :nana:
My first day is tomorrow. The good part is that I will have an income and will be able to help little critters. The bad part is that I will work three Saturdays a month, so I may not be able to got to many of the meet ups.
The owner has two clinics and I will be at both of them (not at the same time of course, I refuse to be cloned). I live in between both, so it's fairly convienent. Many of my neighbors take their pets there.
