Yep, every Thursday. There actually ends up being a pretty good selection of vegan treats each week.

I've been wanting to go to The Short Stop happy hour potluck, but it's not very convenient, geographically, 'specially now that I've sold my car. If anyone wants to swing by and pick me up on their way over (starting after the 23rd of this month), PM me. Sounds like fun.

I went to the restaurant tonight. The menu items are similar to a typical chinese resturant. I ordered the dim sum and steamed vegetables with spicy curry and "chicken." It was good. I would go back there again. The place is small and they play classic jazz music.

CSUSB is good for my purposes. As of now its music doesn't have much of a name for itself but we just had major faculty changes and we might see CSUSB Music on the map more and more now.
I've never been to the Natural Foods store in La Sierra--didn't know there was one. All I knew of was the Clarke’s in Riverside and Loma Linda, and a store in Corona (which I have never been to and forgot the name).
I know of a vegan restaurant in Palm Desert called Natural Foods. My wife and I are going to try it out tomorrow.
Awesome to hear!
So have you been to the La Sierra store yet? :) I've only been to Clarke's once and I wasn't very impressed. The La Sierra store sells all of the Loma Linda products.
Palm Desert is pretty far away. Did you end up going? If so, how did you like it?

Has anyone ever tried the Little Emperor in Riverside (Canyon Crest area)? It's sooo good. They have vegetarian chicken that's delicious!

I used to eat there all the time - the veggie chicken must have snuck on the menu since I've last gone! I'll have to check it out (I'm in Redlands now).
Anybody been to Vegan Era in Upland?

Did you try the chicken legs? Those things are the best.
I used to eat there frequently, but I'm not in Cerritos as often anymore (even though it's a whopping five minutes from here). Good stuff, though, and a very nice staff.

I prefer One World over Veggie Era. However, both are equally good. Its hard, only because both have different menu style.
From Vegi Wokery.. I ordered what I listed. The "chicken" was like a meatball. But I sure would like to go back and try other menu items.
Lets have a VB meetup... im hungry!

They have a huge vegetarian menu now :) My sister lives in Redlands. I love some of the restaurants out there. I don't drive out much though because of the traffic on the 91/215. I'll check out the Vegan Era soon :)

I'm very last minute on the restaurant talk, but I live in downtown LA and don't always feel like cooking. There are probably loads of veggie-friendly places around, but I don't know about them. Can anyone else recommend something besides Swingers in Santa Monica?

Real Food Daily. They have several locations: Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood.
There's a completely vegetarian Indian restaurant in SM called Chandni. I ate there once several years ago, so I don't know how good it is (or not) these days. There's another Indian restaurant in SM called Pradeep's which is not strictly vegetarian, but they're very good, and naturally since they're Indian vegetarian dishes are on the menu.
There's Leaf Cuisine in Culver City and in the SF Valley, which is raw. I've never been there.
There's also Madeleine's Bistro in Tarzana (I think; I could be wrong, somewhere in the SF Valley) which I also haven't been to.
And of course there's Follow Your Heart in Canoga Park.
There's Native Foods in Westwood, very good. Another location in Orange County, I believe.
I don't get to restaurants very much, except for Japanese places. :-/ However, I have two vegetarian restaurant guides, and you're right, there are loads of veg*an and veg*an-friendly places around L.A. What I listed here is just some of them.

Specifically around Downtown, there's Tierra Cafe (they are only open until 3:00 PM):
http://www.vegguide.org/vendor/view.html?vendor_id=2314
I also like Charm Thai which is located at 406 W Cesar E Chavez Ave. and deliver until 9:30.
There's Cinnamon Vegetarian in Highland Park on Figueroa and 50th:
http://www.vegguide.org/vendor/view.html?vendor_id=3047
For late night dining, there's The Bright Spot on Sunset and Alvarado in Echo Park.
Plus a bunch of restaurants a little further down on Sunset (Eat Well, Flore, Vegan House, etc.). And USC has a few restaurants around there, Vegisoul, Manas, etc.
