we better hurry and come to a decision.
The annual Great American Meatout is on Sunday, March 20th this year. Eating less meat can really help you, the animals, and the planet. Eating meat simultaneously contributes to the suffering and death of animals, the ill-health of people, the overuse of oil, water, and other natural resources, the destruction of the environment, the legitimacy of violence, inefficiency in the economy, inequality in the world, and moral failure in a so-called advanced society. Vegetarianism is an antidote to all of these unnecessary tragedies. Try eating less meat, or cutting it out altogether, to help the animals, your health, and the environment! For more information, see www.meatout.org

I live in Fresno/Clovis California.
Been a vegetarian for 15 years, vegan for about 6 months.
Wondering if there are other veg*s in the central valley and if we ever do any get togethers in the middle of CA. I know that most veg*s live in LA or SF. I know being veg in central Cal is not popular. Yet we do have a Whole Foods here. :lovesign: That was a great improvement...
Hi! There's somebody who lives in Bakersfield, but she hasn't been on VB for a while.
Oh, actually she was on 4 days ago. "Formerbaboon".

Cool. Maybe you can spearhead the birth of a burgeoning vegan class in Central California.:nana:

Once you get one, you'll be addicted.
I'm not addicted. I have to be reminded to visit, actually.

Hello, I'm new to the site and I'm wondering if there are any veg*ns in the Napa county area. Right now I feel like I'm the only one!

i'm not in California, so I don't really belong in this thread (*ducks*), but had to pop in to say throw_aways and anyone else in the LA metro area, make the trek to Tarzana to check out Madeleine Bistro!!!! It's completely vegan and awesome.

I was out there recently and had both brunch and dinner at Madeleine and they were AMAZING. Two of the most delicious meals I've ever eaten. This is my favorite veg restaurant I've ever been to (and I've been to many).
