Hi,
This might be random, but anyone have good veggie restaurant recommendations in Orange County? So far, I've been to Au Luc (Vietnamese), The Wheel of Life (Thai/Chinese), Happy Family (Chinese), and Native Foods. All are delicious! Any other suggestions?
I read in a posting about someone who is moving to Irvine. All these restaurants I mentioned above are close to Irvine. I was going to quote the posting, but I am new and still lame at this......
I think you've hit all the best that I've ever heard of down there.

Anyone from the Monterey area?
Hello. This forum is not all that active like, say, a chat. Just so you know.

Haha. That's pretty funny because Hinesville, Ga (the awful place I'm in at the moment) is called the armpit of the South. :D I think it has something to do with the smell.
I never lived in San Diego, but I did visit it a lot. I miss it so much!
These are the places I've lived in California.
La Mirada
Hemet
Wildomar (Lake Elsinore)
Moreno Valley
Fresno (very briefly)
San Luis Obispo
And I feel like I'm forgetting somewhere...
Hey I live in Hemet!!!

You can go to Mothers Kitchen and do your shopping and eating at the same time. :) I used to do that a lot...there are no Mothers where I live now though.

Hey I live in Hemet!!!
Is there a Trader Joes in Hemet?
I am moving to Banning in a couple of months and trying to find the closest TJ's. I don't think they have one in Palm Springs or Moreno Valley. They have one in Riverside but it is about 40 miles away...
These are all of TJ's Southern California locations.

All my friends are married! Ha! But, seriously though, it depends on what you're looking for. :)
Hey CaptainSwab--
Did you get a teaching job where you're moving to? I haven't visited the hamsters so I have no idea what's going on with you. :(
and...
yay! The school year's over! I'm thinking of taking a little road trip, and I want to go somewhere I haven't gone, which is hard if I'm going to stay in CA. :) I want to take my bf up to see the Winchester house because he's never been there, so is there anything in that direction that I should check out?
I need to pull out my maps... there's some caves I want to check out, too, if I can convince my bf that spelunking does not equal death. I'd like to go up to Lava Beds, but we're going to Thailand for a month so I don't think my bf can take off enough days to make that worthwhile. Hmm....
Anyone got some road trip destination ideas? I actually took a road trip to the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota, so no destination is too bizarre. :) :) :)

:hi:
Yep. I have been teaching a 5/6 grade special ed class in Banning. Last day of school was last wed so I am on break! whoo hooo!
We are living in Riverside currently and my husband is working in Palm Springs so we can't wait until we move because it will cut both of our driving times down!
Hmmm. As for a trip destination. Is your bf active? When I was an undergrad I did a trip with the adventure club. We went to the Colorodo river about 9 miles downstream of Hoover damn. We canoed up stream to a nice campground and stayed a couple of days. This campground was within hiking distance to some really nice hot springs and if you paddle another mile or so upstream (as far as you can get to the damn before they rope it off) there are these sauna caves. These caves are crazy. You walk in and you don't even know you are sweating it is so hot. Then when you wipe your hand across your forehead, you realize you are dripping with sweat.
Well, then again, now that I think about it, it might be too hot for that...
You can always go camping in Sequia. We always like that. :)
Have you been running lately? Is your knee still bothering you when you do?

Oooh nice. My husband and I went to UCSB and used to drive around up there all the time. We liked playing in the river.
