I found this video on AIM today's news last night, it's pretty amazing.
I think they should start selectively breeding cats that can talk!

Don't agree with selective breeding...
However, my omni boss has cats that talk. They say "run" and "no" when he is about to give them a bath. He does it one cat at a time and the first one will warn the others.
They may have more of a vocabulary than that, but those are the only words I'm positive they say.

my bf's daughters' cat is really freaky like that... she wails "hellooooowww? HELLLLOOOOOOOWW?" constantly really loudly every morning for about an hour until i get up and feed her, grrrr.
its not only annoying, but really surreal, when i first moved in here i didn't know it was the cat, and in my half sleeping state actually thought it was someone calling through the mailbox from outside or something for a while.

Definately NO to the selective breeding. Cats are being put to sleep because there are not enough homes for them so we shouldn't bring more into the world when there aren't enough homes now.
That said, my cat says NO and OUT. He says it very plainly too! He also has different cues for different things he wants like to eat.

One of those cats was probably in heat, one was either scared or starting to fight

one of my cats manages 'hello' sometimes. it's weird - she's normally quiet, but sometimes she just shouts hello - so much fun watching her make people jump

It was pretty funny... although I didn't really like the last one because you could tell the cat was really angry.
I would love to see a talking cat in person, I've never known one!

The selective breeding thing was an idle comment.
I agree it's probably a bad idea until we get the cats that are currently alive taken care of.
But the thought of talking cats is still pretty freakin' cool :)
It would make those of you who've been making up conversatins with your cats crap your pants though, i bet!
Cat: Meow
You: What's that, you chased off terrorists who were parachuting out of the skies strapped to bombs?
Cat: No. I said get me some food. And be quick about it. Before I eat you.

That could be the funniest thing I've ever seen, apart from the last cat - he was pissed off.
The funniest thing about it was my cat's reaction when I played it, she was looking all around the room for another cat - it was great.
