One to watch for & advise omni friends to check out: Fast Food Nation, which stars some big names like Bruce Willis. It's coming out this fall, just debuted at Cannes.
It apparently features *graphic* slaughterhouse footage from Mexico that highlights the abuse of anaimals for meat. Richard Linkletter, who directed, says he wanted people to think about where their food came from.
Thinking is a good start.
Somewhere on VB is Roger Ebert's review of the movie.
http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=54388 That's where the review was posted.
He reviewed fast food nation as well as one about taxidermy.
About time we see this in a mainstream media source, as opposed to an internet clip from PETA, etc. However, relying on Mexican footage still has a high chance of appealing to Americans' "That's way over there, it doesn't happen here" mentality.

Here's a trailer for it. It looks good. Sadly, it's rated R. It would be more affective if it were more family friendly. At least older child friendly, like PG-13 maybe. I love Greg Kinnear! I plan on seeing it.
