Dairy product tie to having twins
A study in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine showed milk drinkers were five times more likely to have twins than women who ate no animal products.
The numbers of twins in the world has increased significantly in the past 30 years, in some countries by over 50%.
Scientists have suggested fertility treatments and women delaying pregnancy can help explain the rise.
But this new research indicates that diet can also play an important part.

This study sounds a little sketchy to me. There are way to many factors to simply pinn it one one specific thing. Not to mention veg*nisim is oftern also defined by a certain lifestyle that is different then most omnis.

Too bad people are too busy fawning over then to realize twins are a complication that makes premature birth, smaller size, spontaneous abortion, etc more likely.

Not everyone who conceives twins does so with help from the medical profession. Too bad some people are too busy being jerks to realize that.
As a mom of spontaneously conceived twins I find your statement really insulting along with every other person who asked if I had fertility treatments when they saw my two sons.
There is something special in having twins and they have a very special relationship and I won't pretend to be ashamed of that or in awe of that no matter how the pregnancy started or ended. Twins and triplets have happened more and more spontaneously over the last few decades in part because of fertility treatments but also because women are having children later in life which increases the chances of a multiple pregnancy. The more kids you have the better your chances of conceiving multiples and your ethnicity plays a big part too. Twins aren't always a complication, just an deviation from the normal. The average length of pregnancy for twins is about 36 weeks which is largely considered to be full term. Twins are considered a special case pregnancy but not necessarily high risk.
Maybe you should try educating yourself before you spike your posts with sarcasm. Just a friendly suggestion. :)

I didn't see anywhere in her post that implied twins had to be a product of medical intervention. She just pointed out the increased dangers of a pregnancy involving multiple babies. No need to be so defensive.

The sarcasm in the post may have gotten past you but it didn't me. She was not merely pointing out the increase risk she was implying that people knowingly get pregnant with twins because they want the "cute" factor of having twins despite the dangers she supposes it puts the babies in.
Truthfully while my boys were in the NICU there was one other set of twins there. One. A full NICU of singleton babies. There were 2 other moms on the maternity floor when I had my boys with happy, healthy, full term twins.
Reread her post. There's no way that was meant nicely.

Too bad people are too busy fawning over them? That was just pointing out that twin pregnancies have higher risk factors? I was born at night but not last night.
Not only was it wrong and sarcastic but sorely misinformed. Twins are not considered a complication in the medical profession. But hey who needs actual facts when sarcasm is so much more fun huh?
