So, I purchased a video with a resistance band which I have been doing for quite a while now. It feels good when I'm doing the exercises. But one day I decided to do some of the exercises without the band. I found that it was a lot more difficult, especially the leg ones. Have I been wasting my time using the band because it's easier to do the routine with it? I was feeling pretty good about it until I tried to exercise without it. I thought resistance training was supposed to be good. Any input from the experienced VBers?

Real quick reply before I leave for NY to the Farm Sanctuary Gala :)

As far as the bands, make sure your ECCENTRIC part of the movements is also controlled. Most people have a tendancy to let it 'drop' on the eccentric movement.
Ex: When doing a biceps curl with them your concentric phase is the 'pull' on the way up, your eccentric phase is the lowering..make sure you control during this phase.
It may be possible that the resistance in the band you are using is not enough.

Hoepfully this helps :)

Off to NY!
