Woot! This passed yesterday!

The vote was unanimous in Congress in support of the horses! Now it must pass the Senate.

This amendment is to stop the commercial sale and slaughter of wild horses and burros. Fact: There are nearly 100,000 horses sent to three foreign-owned slaughterhouses operating in the United States. The horses are shipped in cattle trucks and sent to slaughterhouses, where they are dismembered and then exported to consumers in Belgium, France, and Japan.

Please take action now so that this amendment passes the Senate as well. Here's a link that will enable you to easily become involved and have your voice heared by your local Senator.

Because it's important. Maybe more important than what color to dye your hair this week or what kind of cream to put on your face.

Has anyone done this? If not, would you please consider. It will literally take as much time or possible even less time than it would to make a post about something else not related to animal rights/welfare.

Seriously, the letter is already written. Your Senator will automatically be choosen when you enter your zip code. It's as easy as giving your name and address.
