So early this morning Milo the cat started meowing incessantly. I called out, "Milo, what's wrong?" He suddenly darted up onto the bed and dropped something right by my face. It was a tiny little dead lizard. Gee, thanks Milo! Poor little lizard :-/

You'd think I could avoid this kind of thing by having indoor cats...

What you need are outdoor lizards!

My cat likes to drop dead critters on my bed too. Mostly they are flies or spiders though. I think you also need to have outdoor lizards. Good Luck with that one.

Now I'm jealous!!!My kitty doesn't bring me spiders often, but it's rather funny seeing the spider trying to get even with his mouth and get out. :hungry:

don't be sad. my cat caught two birds yesterday. luckily, she hasn't got the killing part down so i was able to save them.

she brought one in early one morning and let it go in the house. I chased it for 20 minutes before I got it out and decided that was quite enough cardio for one day and skipped the gym.

I hate it when my boys find a lizard. I have to try to catch the damn thing and get it away from them, and then they sulk the rest of the day. "No, Zephyr, that's not your plaything! I said no! Look, if you can't kill it and eat it before I get to it, you didn't deserve to have it anway, you lousy hunter!"

Oh my cat is pure evil. Not a day goes by when he doesn't bring me something from the great outdoors. Birds, mice...one time a squirrel, another time a rat. *sigh* Maybe we shouldn't have named him Demon?

My cat brings me colorful rubber wristbands that we leave around the house. He meows loudly and insists that we see his "kills" and praise him for them, which we do!

ewww, marvin does roaches when he can get them. He smacks them, waits for them to recover and start to run away then smacks them again, until they are dead, then he deposits them in front of the bedroom door. Thankfully he's only found 3 in the year he's lived here, so I guess no big roach problem.

My cats love to leave "presents" on the front porch and sidewalk. They get mice, rats (no idea where the rats come from! hope i never find out...) baby moles, snakes, bunnies, bugs....etc... I always have to keep an eye on them and hope when they have a "gift" i can catch it in time to set it free. Yesterday I set a baby mole free.. the day before that a snake. I've set many little bunnies free, and so many mice i've lost track. As sad as it is for what they kill, i must admit it's still cute to see the cats look at me like they should get a trophy for it. If only I could teach them to bring real presents back...
