Anyone know much about this, surely it's very important to supplement if your pregnant, breast feeding or supplement your baby when on a vegan or veggie diet?

Here's something about DHA and breast milk

In fact, breast milk has very high levels of DHA. Several studies have shown that babies who receive proper amounts of DHA, through feeding on breast milk or formula supplemented with DHA, have higher IQs and better vision than babies who did not receive proper amounts of DHA. DHA does not loose its importance after the brain stops developing. It is important to consume adequate amounts of DHA as an adult to prevent vision loss and other neurological problems (1).

Fish oil capsules contain both DHA and EPA. Supplements containing EPA may not be recommended for infants or small children because they upset the balance between DHA and EPA during early development. This suggests that pregnant women should also be cautious about taking fish oil supplements. These effects may be avoided by using DHA supplements derived from algae sources, which do not contain EPA.
