My husband has been using this flosser thing for quite awhile and it's refillable, but I called to refill it ( I think it's called Glide) and was greeted by a P&G message. We're both vegan, but he wasn't before we met, so he didn't know he was buying a bad product. I was like, whoa, P&G? No way. I hung up, and now I'm stuck with the task of finding another flosser. It's like this handle with a little boomerang on the top that the flosser feeds through. Yeah, not much of a description, but Oral-b, Reach and others have them, but they're not good companies either. I know they exist, but I'm getting frustrated looking. :help: And ideas? Oral-b, although not a "good" company, was owned by Gillette, who stopped testing, but is now bought out by P&G, who are apparently trying to take over the world. He only wants this style of flosser, any ideas?

FlossBrite flossers aren't animal tested. I think they are different from the ones you mentioned, as they come pre-loaded with floss, but the basic principle is the same. I emailed the company just to make sure that they aren't animal tested, and the representative that emailed me back was a vegan herself, and said their company doesn't take part in any of those activities.

Here is the website: http://www.flossbrite.com

My husband and I use a waterpik. It is GREAT, not as much of a PITA as flossing and it doesn't leave your gums all cut up and swollen.

Well we got the flossers, and my husband loves them more than his old ones, so P&G can stick it! :) But thanks for the waterpik advice, we just really need an on the go type of thing.

OK, we did love them....but now their site's been down for quite awhile for "retooling". Anyone know what's going on or have other ideas for other cruelty-free flossers to take on the go?
