I get to work by walking. I work at home, either in the house or in our studio which is about 100 feet from the house. :)

I walk to college, it's 30 minutes from home :)

i get to work by walking and taking a train (the commuter rail).

25min walk, 15min on the train--so, 40min total.

I drive my truck to work. It's an 8 minute drive (3 miles). I drive alone. It's a Ford Explorer SUV.

I drive to work. It's about 20 minutes. I pick someone up along the way about 1/2 the time. I drive a 1990 Nissan Axxess.

I'm moving to Toronto in July. I GUARANTEE that I won't be driving there!

My goal is to get a job at the same University where my husband works so I can take the train to work like he does. I am uncomfortable ethically with driving to work, but the alternative is 1.5 hours by bus plus a 20 minute walk each way.

1 I get to work by driving our truck. I would love to take public transit, but it would increase my commute time by a factor of about five to six, it would cost more than driving and it would be very inconvenient. If I could cut the time increase to 2 to 3 and have it be more convenient I'd take public transit. Bicycling would be good if we had a shower at work, but we don't. I'm not exactly pleased with the route I'd have to take to get to work, but I might start biking two or three days a week anyway.

3 I drive by myself, I get to work around 6:30 in an area without a lot of businesses, so car pooling isn't an option.

I take the bus. On rare occasions Mr. Tess drives me to work (like last week when I hurt my foot and could barely walk).

It takes ~40 minutes. This is ~5-7 minutes longer than it would take to drive downtown, park, and then get from the parking garage into the office. But when he drops me off, it only takes ~20 minutes.

On those days when he drives me, we take a 1998 Toyota Corolla.
