Hi (sorry this got posted twice by accident)

I'm not sure EXACTLY what this programme shows but the TV guide lists it as a "Pick of the Day"

Read about it here. It's on tomorrow, C4, 8pm

The title,"Mad about animals" ,says it all,it will be a ridiculing, demonizing programme helped by dark music over the top, sequence reversal, splicing and paraphrasing.

Obviously one has to be "Mad about animals" to care about nonhuman animals and treat them as equals and believe they have as much right to life and liberty as we do

i am going to watch it, but im afraid it is going to make anyone who slightly cares about animals look mad, i disagree with animal testing for cosmetics household cleaners etc, but am more for medical care, but i totally disagree with the abuse they go through(peta tv has videos of animals being kicked hit, etc in testing labs) although i heard testing on animals hindered insuling for 10 years!

i have seen the adverts, and i will write what i think of the progamme on here tomorow :)

go onto the dispatches forum and you can see that others feel that they have already decided that AR people are mad, here's a quote from the writing about the programme....

"The activists talk candidly about what motivates their extremism, revealing a fundamentalist mindset fuelled by fantasies of animal abuse." THERE NOT FANTASIES, ITS HAPPENING!!

jesus, this programme is ridiculous. just like most channel 4 programmes its one sided and trying to make animal rights activists to be extreme terrorists. well, thankyou channel 4 for the publicity you wankers.

channel 4 saying the "fantasies of animal abuse" that the "animal rights extremists" have, what blatant ridculing propaganda, its all documented in undercover investigations that the corprate vivisectional profiteering media never fully show in an unedited, uneuphemised presentation, they only fully show in their euphemised presentation, prearranged visits, designed to promote vivisection as "humane" and really not that bad, thus implying that antivivisectionists or as the corprate media like to say "animal rights extremism" are exaggerating.

I'm glad you guys pointed out about the music on the advert for this program as well, my Mum and I were appalled at how it sounded like 'clown music' to make people who care about animals look mad and crazy. I'm going to write to Channel 4 and complain. Just because one or two people dug up a body doesn't mean everyone's like that.....makes me really mad now how anyone who cares about animals is meant to be a horrible person.

A while ago I was out shopping and saw a demonstration table about HLS cruelty so I went over to sign the petition. This old guy came up to me and the lady at the table, and started yelling at us 'So you're the people who dig up bodies are you? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!' I started defending her, being polite of course, because I believe that's the best way to win an argument. But some people are just so narrow minded.........*sighs*

I agree, it makes me so annoyed how they only ever show tiny clips of vivisection/animal cruelty etc, when if they showed the worst stuff......well, they would never do that. I think people should know what its really like...:furious:

Unfortunately, even though I posted details of the programme, I missed it! By the sounds of it, it doesn't do proper animal rights people justice and just showed nutters and extremists... If this is the case, you are quite right to write to C4 and complain. Let us know if you get a response.
