I've found three products online of chewable calcium supplements. Wonder if anyone have an experience with them and can tell me which is best?
Calcium Soft Chews Supplement - at veganstore.com
http://www.veganstore.com/index-store.html?deptid=&parentid=&stocknumber=609&page=1&itemsperpage=12
Calcium Citrate Chewables by Solaray - at veganessentials.com
And Chewable Cal-Mint Calcium supplement - at veganessentials.com
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

I don't have own experience, but I have to prescribe it every day. Most people are happy with calcium carbonate (the chewable form if they don't like to drink the soluble tablets), with some it doesn't work either and they take calcium citrate (I don't have to prescribe it often).
If no one knows anything, then you can buy all three. Put them each in a glass container with some water (maybe some HCL too?). See how long it takes for them to dissolve in the water. Obviously you'll be wanting the one who dissolves the most. :) Hope that helps!

There is a good chewable that also contains Vitamins D & K. It contains Calcium (as calcium carbonate) at 500 mg

It has been said that Vitamin D should be taken with calcium for better absorption.
At $7.99 for 75 chews (1 a day). It averages out to about $0.11 a day
If you don't necessarily need a chewable VegLife makes a Calcium, Magnesium plus Vitamin D supplement that is certified vegan by Vegan Action:
http://store.yahoo.com/yhst-48641225173758/vecamadbyve.html
It contains Calcium (as calcium citrate) 500 mg 50%
It is pretty inexpensive. A 30 days supply (3 a day) for only $5.63. It comes out to less than $0.23 a day.
With so many supplements taken, unless you have lots of money to spend, cost can become a factor for some people.
I guess it really depends on which form of calcium you prefer. A good google search would be calcium citrate verses calcium carbonate. It might be helpful.
Semi-off-topic: Don't forget exercise is as important or even more important than supplements if you're taking the calcium to avoid osteoporosis!

Yes, and I might add, get enough sunshine or vitamin D, which is necessary forthe calcium to be resorbed.
