Anyone still watch that show?
Tonight's episode really tried my patience. There've been glimmers of hope this season, but I'm "thisclose" to cutting it out of my week all together. Too many other better things to do keep coming to mind.

I stopped watching ER last year, but I tried to watch last night - with it being the 200th episode and all. But the beginning only served to confuse me and I decided that I would rather go to bed. I hardly knew who any of the characters are and I only stopped watching it a year ago.

They did amputate Romano's arm. The rest of it was this gratuitous editing exercise that was more of an exercise than a truly necessary way to tell the story, though occasionally it worked the way I'm sure they originally intended. But then Pratt, who's supposed to be excited to be leaving, suddenly does an about-face and waltzes right back in. I didn't buy it for a half-second.

I haven't watched ER in a few months, and just in that amount of time, I have no idea what's going on. I've pretty much given up on it. Besides, I have a feeling it'll be cancelled after this season... or the next, at the latest.

****************SPOILER ALERT*************
Carter went to Africa and had a life-altering experience working with the sick and poor there and even coming close to being killed by warring factions, only saved because he refused to give up on a young boy's life earlier in the episode, winning him and his doctor buddies a free pass. Carter then left Africa, while Kovac stayed behind to continue his work. They left it open that he might return to the ER some day, but it's just as likely that he may not come back. Carter came home and gently kissed Abbe or smelled her hair (it was dark), then sat quietly on the bed next to her. The impression I got was that Carter will never be the same. He most likely is over his Gamma dying, will probably apologize and reconcile with Abbe (one would think), and may re-dedicate himself to special causes, particularly now that he's the head of that foundation his Gamma ran.
And there you go.

I haven't watched last season, but have been aware that (spoiler for those who want to watch reruns) Carrie is out as a lesbian and was trying to find her birth parents. Can anyone give me details on this?
I never really liked Carter or Kovac. I find Carrie, Romano (bald guy) and Elizabeth the most interesting characters. Peter Benton was also a good character, but he is gone, too. I actually never really liked Dr. Green. I thought he was too wishy washy and bland.

I missed it because of a concert. And now, I'm incredibly mad. Go figure.

You guys all need VCRs or, better yet, TiVos. ;)

Romano's still around. He finally opted to have his arm cut off after it caught fire while boiling water for tea over a range. While still groggy after surgery, Corday (whom he practically begged to be there) was by his side, and he told her he loved her.
I don't know why I'm worried about giving away plot points. It's not like a movie you can rent next week or anything. Anywho...
