Totally kid friendly PB roll ups
Category: Main Dishes - Other
Suitable for a: vegan diet
Ingredients:
------------------------------------------------------
Smooth Peanut butter (any type you like)
Bread
Instructions:
------------------------------------------------------
Take your bread. Either White, or whole wheat. Whatever bread suites you best and cut off the crust.
Put it on a flat hard surface, and take a rolling pin and roll the bread completely out. Make sure it is smooth, and thin- kind of like pizza dough in a pan. Now, take your peanut butter, natural or whatever you like and with a butter knife apply and thin smooth layer. Be careful not to apply way too much. Just make it even and thin. Chunky Peanut butter will not work well at all... so make sure you are sticking to smooth. Now, tightly roll up the sheet of bread with the peanut butter on it into a log, or roll. Yes, it will be very thin-- not much thicker then say a crayola washable marker. Now, with your knife cut the log into sections across it so you have small sprial circles. Keep these in the fridge in a ziplock before they go into the lunch bag or are eaten.
Additional comments:

These are really a fun twist on the boring square peanut butter sandwhiches not to mention really awsome for toddlers. They are good to store in a ziplock or a small container for traveling.
Personally, I still bring these to lunch myself, a ninth grader.
I can bet the ones who beg you to cut off the crust will love these.
For serving suggestion, probably whatever you would use for a sandwhich. You arent using as much globby PB, but two slices (sheets) of rolled out bread should work. The prep time is about five minutes and you can even get the little ones involved :)
