Im so sorry, if this is in the wrong place.
I just thought'd I share a poem I wrote when I was 11 for a english project. When my teacher read it, her face was disturbed looking. Now that I think about it, it was pretty funny. Most kids were writing poems of spring and their friends and I wrote one about a pig being slaughtered. Go figure
Today, They put me in a truck with other animals packed
But it wasn't as bad as the metal poles they wacked
I couldn't move a inch or bearly turn my head
But all I could remember was the words my mother said
She told me that she loved me and that in heaven we would meet
I knew making that far would be a tough feat
When I arrived people with metal poles lead me down a trail
I walked slow as a snail taking my last exhale
I was hung up by my feet, becoming very frightened
Kicking, hoping to get down- but the chains were only tightened
I squealed and snorted to my mom I cried
Looking up ahead, I saw she alreadly died
Looking at the floor which was a bloody mess
Made me feel sick and extremely distressed
"Oh please... Oh please", I wanted to blurt
I wondered whom I ever really hurt
My turn was coming up to have my neck split
I could feel the tension and the discomfit
My last chance to get away-- the blade came at me slow
The next thing I saw was a beautiful rainbow
Ma was standing there oinking with glee
Pa and brothers too, Finally I was free!
We all ran around for the very first time
It was wonderful to be loved and thought of so sublime
So please dont cook me in a pot or go through the drive-thru
To help stop the others live the way I used to
And I promise when you're in heaven I will thank you
Not very good, but I though'd I share anyways =)
