I have made significant changes to my diet the last 6 months and I feel so much better. I am eating more cooked veggies and salads and try to eat meat once a day. I feel much better overall, except the past 2 weeks I feel as though I am plateuing. Last night I had a bagel and ice cream and today I feel AWFUL!!! It will take me 2 days to feel like myself again. I am gaining enough experience how the salads and veggies make me feel (wonderful) and how the bagels, ice and sweets make me feel afwul (even if I only eat them once a week). Sooo i want to work through my plateu and start raw. This may be the change I need. Any advice when to start because today I feel awful after the bagel and ice cream last night?

The more fresh foods you eat the better you will feel. When you have 'the bad stuff' only once a week you will feel the effects stronger than if you had your tolerance built up to them by eating them more regularly. It sounds like you are going at a comfortable pace & doing all the right things. Just keep going! You're doing great! Keep adding more & more fresh whole raw organic (if possible) plant foods to your menu. Also remember that long lasting changes take time to stick so don't beat yourself up over slipping here & there. It's just a part of the process.

I recommend Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People by Jennifer Cornbleet. This will give you plenty of quick to fix raw recipes to keep you raw.

Michael, I was going to give you credit for being the original person to recommend the book. However, I couldn't find the thread when I tried to search for it. Thanks for posting a link to the thread.
