View Full Version : Would you kiss a non-vegetarian/vegan?

Now I find myself single again, I cannot see that I could possibly kiss someone who had eaten meat that day, am I being picky? Or do you agree, even if they clean their teeth there may be meaty bits stuck in their teeth  Looks like I may be staying single!!

i do several times a day. i don't even give a thought about it.
I haven't been in the situation very often, but I really wish I would never be put into that situation...I really don't like the idea and I will only do so if she has at least cleaned her mouth out somewhat. (water or something)
*sigh*

I'm lucky enough to not have to worry about that - but if I wasn't... let's just say I probably enjoy kissing too much to let it get to me. ;-)
I kiss a non-veg*n every day :)

I do all the time. In fact, I believe I have within the hour. (Of course today he's only eaten an Amy's Bean Burrito, some leftover wasabi mashed potatoes, and some Annie's Mac & Cheese... I've stocked the kitchen a little "different" since I've moved in. Haha) If he's JUST downed like, pepperoni pizza or chicken wings, he knows I won't kiss him. Most of the time tho? Meh. And I feed him a lot too and only put veg*n food into him. ;)

I won't stick my tongue into anyone's mouth after they eat meat unless they brush their teeth.

Normally, you kiss someone on the lips. Unless you're doing some deep frenching, you're not going to dislodge meat stuck in teeth. So you're probably fine.
I kiss my omni husband.

No, I don't think my veg husband would be too happy if I did. :)

I have been in that situation before and I wouldn't kiss my b/f after he ate meat unless he brushed his teeth. The smell of meat on him was too much sometimes. I didn't want to puke into his mouth. He appreciated the warning... At the moment we aren't together anymore, but that's the way I handled it. I am single in my 30's and probably will be for a long time......

I did it for the first few months of our relationship without even really thinking about it (except the chicken lo mein burps... oh god, a more foul smell never did exist *shudder*). Then I FORCED my b/f to go veggie by threatening to break up if he didn't.... hehe, j/k. He did it all by himself and to this day I'm still very proud of him for making the decision. We were out to eat one night and he just suddenly said to me "this is the last time I'm going to eat meat." And it was :)
Now, I've been so spoiled from years of having a veggie boy, I don't know if I could handle the corpse-breath if the situation ever arose... I know I definitely couldn't handle the... *ahem* other "stuff"...

Yes, I do it all of the time, although he hardly ever eats meat.

lol.. maybe i'm weird... i get my bf to kiss me before he eats meat/dairy (i get my kisses while they're still fresh, lol). When he eats meat/dairy/or anything else horribly stinky, he knows he aint gonna get another one until he's cleaned his teeth, or for at least a few hours afterwards, so he gets them before he eats it, while they're on offer.
The meat eating kissing thing- it does weird me out though. i sometimes find myself thinking about what he's had in his mouth food wise when i go to kiss him. But, i guess it is his choice what he eats, just like it's my choice where i put my lips, and when- he might not be a vegan, but he's an incredibly nice guy and i love him, so i deal with it as best i can.

i kissed an omni once a few hours after she ate some meaty pasta and brushed her teeth. she smelled like toothpaste but on kissing her all i tasted was her meaty breath. i nearly hurled. after that, no more kissing omnis.

No way.
i prefer to remain single rather than kiss a meat eater.
meat eaters are not attractive to me at all

Yep. Unless he has actual grease on his lips. Then I go, "Eww, chicken lips," and he laughs and goes to wash up.

I kiss my omni husband all the time - meaty breath has never been a problem.

Well, let's see. No, I don't like to kiss my husband after he's just had a hamburger. But then I don't like to kiss my husband after he's just had a big bowl of vegetarian garlic and onion soup either.
That's so funny, I was just thinking about posting this very thread. I have a omni boyfriend and sometimes he tastes like meat - gross. So I make him brush his teeth, heck I make him brush them before any serious kissing most of the time anyway.

I did for 3 years.
Luckily, though, I don't need to anymore. :)
