My boyfriend is a meat eater. He eats tons of my vegan cooking but Im trying to get him to understand my point of view and see why I eat the way that I do. I want him to be educated in the right things so he can make a better decision later. I wish he would give up eating meat but I dont want to shove it down his throat. How do I gradually get the point across without coming off to militant?

Just keep feeding him delicious food and speaking up when he asks why you feel/do as you do. Know the reasons why you are veagn and be able to express it articulately and firmly yet without judgement.
Perhaps watching "Diet for a New America" or "Earthlings" together would be good.

first, he may understand your position and not agree with it.
second, your position isn't necessarily or absolutely "right."

My hubby is about 80% converted.........i respect his point of view and he respects mine. he eats all my cooking without complaint and loves most of what i make.
i try not to be militant although i have left some graphic pictures laying around for him to see.
but i am happy that he has drastically cut back on animal products.
