I just got the plug in and the oil from my vet, one of our cats has been displaying some aggressive tendancies and though I did all the normal retraining and such with her it only got worse.
My vet advised starting with this since it sounded like my kitty was having stress releated issues.
Jaxy really is a sweet kitty but no one else gets to see that side of her, I have raised her since she was very small aprox 3 weeks and because of her condition when I found her ( ring worm, mange, internal and external parasites, sever malnutrition and covered in maggots) she had to be kept in isolation for a long time so she never really socilized properly with anything and anyone other than me.
We are hoping that with this stuff which is supposed to reduce stress we can train her to socilize properly and over all reduce stress for her and everyone else in the house.
Very costly though, I have bought one plug in and may get another but I would really like to see if anyone else here has used it and what thier results were.

I have not had to use Feliway yet. But I would if I had cat that was acting stressed through.
I have used the canine version though, Comfort Zone, for a dog with seperation anxiety and it seemed to help. I only needed to use it for about a month to get through the transition phase. But the dog was also on an herbal calming medication at the time too, so it's hard to say what helped the most.
Well for Jaxy she has been given her own area ( a wak in closet which she adores we just now have baned all other animals from it) her own food dish and litter pan just for her.
Previously we kept food out in various places around the house and several litter boxes one in each room for whatever cat wanted to use them ( cept foster cats they are in a differant area) but miss princess Jaxy now has everything she needs as "just" hers.
I am hoping that along with this diffuser I can help her be a happy kitty.
What herbal mesd were you useing and would it even apply to a cat if needed.
The diffuser may be working alone I am not sure Jaxy is in the same room with Tipps and no hissing and howling has started yet

We use it for our cats at the shelter. I've seen a bit of a difference, tho I think it can kind of be hit-or-miss. That's how it is with the DAP (for dogs) we had one dog who when you sprayed it on her bedding she looked like she was in an opium den and another dog who's spazziness was unaffected.
We have a cat that when you spray the Feliway on his stuff, he starts drooling like a mad man. It's funny.

I got my parents one for the cat who tinkles on things, and until it ran out, she did better. A lot of people I know have had success with them.
How much is your vet charging you? They're not prescription and you can order them out of catalogs or online, usually for a lot cheaper. (Vet cost on one plug in with the oil stuff is under $20, just to give you an idea of what you should be paying)
55$ for the unit and 32 $ for the refills, 2 I would love to order wereever you are ordering from!

Yeah, that's a bit pricey (though maybe it's a larger amount?). You can get them off ebay, or from stores like petsmart. I think even Wal-Mart sells comfort zone now.
I will have to look into it the botte is pretty big about the same size as a normal plug in air freshner oil.
This stuff works, Im in shock I thought for sure I was throwing my money away.
3 cats do not seem to have any reaction to it so it dosnt seem to work on them but the cat in question that I got it for is happy and rubbing her face over everything in the room, talking and playing with her puffballs all evening and today is even purring, she never ever purrs and yet she is:D
I'm shocked, and I think I'll get a couple more for other areas of the house specialy were the new foster kitties are kept the are always stressed when they first come in.

I honestly don't remember which catalogs I've seen them in for about $20 each, but if you do a search on froogle.com for example, I'm sure you'll get some hits!
