I'd like to compose a letter to a local Italian restaurant in my town urging them to discontinue serving veal, problem is I'm not sure where to start or even what to say in the letter. This would be my first attempt at any type of activism (other than signing online animal rights petitions)

I have never been to this particular restaurant but I know people that have gotten food poisoning after having the veal parmesan while dining there on two different occasions.
Also, one of these people confronted a waitress who works there about the veal causing their illness and she told them the veal doesn't seem to sell very well (I was happy to hear this!)

Anyway I guess I'm just looking for tips from anyone who can offer advice, basically I want be convincing but not come off as preachy.
I know not everyone is aware of the cruelty involved in the production of veal so I want the letter to somewhat educate them about the process and not just start off accusing them of supporting 'animal cruelty'

My husband suggested including some photos of young cows in veal crates as to show the horrible conditions they suffer from, I thought this was a good idea.

Also I was wondering if I should remain anonymous?

I was thinking sense the veal is not at all a hot seller maybe they will be willing to discontinue it all together, and not put up a fight.

One tip: don't be anonymous. Too easy to ignore. If you really feel strongly about something, it carries more weight to attach your name to your convictions.
