My cat is a dried apricot fiend. If there's a bag open on the table she'll soon have her head in there, she also likes apricot jam, boysenberry jam, peas, a little bread now and then, and all sorts of other things that it seems really unnatural for cats to eat. We only give her a tiny bit of these things at a time because I worry that they might be bad for her. She's a really healthy cat...I guess my quesiton is:
Is there any reason why Pan shouldn't eat the odd dried apricot?
I'm not sure. I don't like to bug my veterinarian with questions like those, but usually I do if I can't find the answer anyplace else.
I don't know why your cat likes apricots. I've heard that cats can't really taste "sweet". Other than the sugar in the dried fruit bothering her teeth, though, I don't know if they would bother her in moderation.

If she's healthy and you've been giving her these things in moderation for a while, I don't see the harm.

I don't think so as long as she doesn't eat too many. One of our cats likes everything. The other day my bf dropped some watermelon rind on the floor and he ate that! We have to be careful that he doensn't eat too much of anything and gets sick.
I think if she ate alot of them she'd get the runs at least, but a little piece now and then won't hurt.
I also think that most cats have a taste for something un-catlike, but it seems to vary from cat to cat. Most of them appear to like angel food cake though.

He is a FREAK!
