Last Thursday night, five students from my school (IU School of Music) were flying back from a gig rehearsal in Lafayette and crashed. All five died on impact. These five were some of the most extraordinarily talented students in the school, as well as the most kind, genuine human beings I have ever met. The pilot, Georgina, was in my studio, and I had worked a few times with Zach, a phenomenally talented conductor also in the plane. I did not know the other three, but I have heard so many wonderful things about them that I feel almost as if I did.
I just wanted to post a link to an article about the crash, as well as the website where you can find their pictures/biographies, to commemorate the lives of some of the most wonderful people I have ever known or will ever know.
Article on the crash (http://www.idsnews.com/news/story.php?id=35592&adid=news)

Thank you guys so much for your sympathy... I actually consider myself comparatively lucky (or maybe unlucky, I don't know how I feel about that one) to have only known two of them. I know quite a few people who were extremely close to all five, and I don't know how to even begin to comfort them. There's really nothing to say.
I appreciate your support very much. :)

:( We never think that such events will touch our lives do we :(
My thoughts are with you.
I'm sure that must be so difficult for you and your friends :( *hugs*
I do know what it feels like to loose two students at a time. After all these years it still hurts. I have no idea how it would be to loose 5. I ask God to give you wisdom and strength to get through these times of loss and be able to help those who have lost even more than yourself.

I'm so sorry.
Zach would have started school at Anderson University the year after I graduated. And Georgina was from my town. I didn't know them, but it sure is a small world. Very sad tragedy. :(

How ironic... You may not have known them, but do know they were two of the most extraordinarily talented, kind people conceivable.
Thank you all so much.
sorry for your loss

Our studio just met for the first time since it happened. It made things real again, and I felt so much for the others that had known her longer and for our teacher, who was trying to be strong for us...
It's just not fair.
