It's been on the news tonight. Check out the link http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/norfolk/4940366.stm

OMG! I have just seen the footage for myself on the news just now. Some of the workers were filmed by undercover investigators and they were hitting the turkeys like playing a game of rounders. Horrific footage but they wouldn't show it all as they said it was too disturbing.

:grr:

Yeah, I saw it on the news before. They showed the turkeys and then blanked the screen and said it was 'too graphic to show' what the ****, too graphic. People have a right to see what happens to the food they eat, and maybe if they would have showed the whole thing then some people would have actually thought about what they eat. :wall:

I've plugged them before and I'm doing it again. Hillside are an animal sanctuary who also undertake investigative work into the mistreatment of animals (such as this Bernard Matthews film) so please support them if you are able to. http://www.hillside.org.uk/ you can also 'adopt' an animal :)

 what the hell possesses people to do that. Like it's not enough that they're going to be killed and eaten.

Thanks for that Muse. I didn't know about them or their website. I've wanted to adopt another cow for a while but hadn't managed to find anywhere.
They look like they do good work. I just wish there were more people like them.

I saw this too......it's disgusting. Muse is right, people have a right to know what actually goes on. Why should they be protected from the truth? I sent an email to Bernard Matthews telling him what i thought of him, but I got an automated response saying it didn't go through. It makes me so angry when the TV advert comes on and he's saying how his turkey is "bootiful"....whats bootiful about battering animals?

that looks like a really good site, I'm thinking about adopting an animal.
