peanut sauce
Category: Condiments, Dressings, Spreads

Suitable for a: vegan diet

Ingredients:
------------------------------------------------------

1 cup Peanut Butter (I've only tried peanut butter, but I think it would work equally well with almond butter)
small amount of water (enough to thin the PB a bit)
ginger (fresh or powder) to taste
garlic (fresh or powder) to taste
dash vinegar (any kind)
sprinkle of white pepper
drizzle of wasabi oil (I use Trader Joe's)

Blend all ingredients together on blender or food processor. Use on pasta, rice, salads, as a vegetable dip.

What about soy sauce too? :worried:

Sounds good, but I don't like wasabi in my peanut sauce. I bet the texture is good though, since you use powdered spices instead of fresh.

I hope that's like, a LOT of servings, because one cup of peanut butter has 1666 calories and 134 grams of fat!

I just borrowed Peanut Butter Planet by Robin Robertson from the library and most of the soups have 3/4 cup of peanut butter and approx. 30 grams of fat per serving (and the servings are probably small).

I make a banana peanut butter cake that calls for an entire cup of peanut butter but it is also loaded with fiber (approximately 15 g. per serving) and has no sugar. Also, it makes 15 generous servings :)
