My fiance' and I adopted our first family member today-- a beautiful 2-yr old tortoishell kitty we call Meeka. She's the most charming, well-behaved cat I've ever owned (and trust me, there have been many!). SHe's going to be a spoiled little girl, but one given much love and adoration from her "parents". When I can get my camera going, I'll post pics!

I've been without a pet for a few years now (my last baby dies when I was 18), so this is a big step for us both. She loves our home, and has really made herself comfortable-- we're so happy!
